Nerf Nitefinder Modification
Materials
-1"thinwall petg - found at Petco
-1 CPVC coupler
-Plumbers Goop
-Hot glue
-Nerf Nitefinder

Lets get started. Shall we.
Posted Image
First open up your nitefinder and take out the plunger tube you don't need it. Now take your petg and goop a CPVC coupler into the front using E-tape.Now that that is done measure your plunger tube using the stock plunger tube and measure where the closest end of the coupler is where you should have you plunger tube. Now cut it to the exact length of the stock plunger tube. Now to add Springs just put your combo in the plunger rod and wrap some E-tape under the plunger head and LUBE IT UP!.
Posted Image
Now cut out the front so the plunger tube can fit inside.
Posted Image
Now glue the hell out of the plunger tube... MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PLUNGER ROD IN WHEN YOU GLUE IT DOWN! You cant get it back in.
Posted Image
Pic of how it should look when you have all your internals done...
Posted Image
Put everything back in the right place and close her up, add a barrel and go shoot someone!

Final thoughts: I love the way the seal is with the PH, I use that all the time in my nitefinders. I got the PR from a friend, that's why it is black. I hope this helps. This was my first writeup, so the pictures could be better. If I were to make another writeup I will focus the camera better. Ranges with a [k26] in this blaster are about 70's.

I finally got time to post a bunch of things that explains my excessive posting :P

The only thing you might want to include are ranges, and to get a little less blurry pictures of the front.

Not bad...but not the best but still good for a first timer.

I do however think this has been done before (by blue?) yet you used 1 inch petg not the stock tube witch I think is new (I know its been done before but never put in a write-up).

Wow i`m giving you props...the world will now end.

Actually it was done with petg before but it is two times as big here
And in a write-up here (not in petg though)

This mod has been done many times before, by now it's common knowledge now that 1" PETG works with nite-finders. Off the top of my head Banshee and Rogue come to mind as people who have done almost exactly what this write-up has done. However, I can't find any write-ups for the mod so this is good. I would suggest you put a screw through the pvc coupler and plunger tube for more durability than just the goop. The space behind the CPVC coupler is all deadspace too, it would help a little if you put in a stub of CPVC before you gooped. Thanks for making a write-up, there have been very few lately.

I was not saying that petg as a tube was new, I was saying this Is the first time it was put in a write-up.

This was the point I was trying to get across.

Imasoulman did a NF mod using half a coulper....might go well with this and get rid of a good chunk of dead space.

Blue I have lots of stuff in the works...`nuff to keep you busy for a long time.

Good job again.

You should also sand the side of the petg that is getting glued down, for better adhesion.

Did you get the PETG in the store on from their website? I looked at PetsMart and didn't see any. The nearest Petco around me is still 30+ miles.

Yeah I had just looked at them the other day and I remembered at least one of them was in Banshee's sig. I seem to remember rogue doing one as well but I can't find it or for that matter any of his write ups they seem to all be gone??

On topic:
Question for OP. Does your plunger head bottom out on the coupler or does the handle hit the back of the shell? Do you worry about either place breaking?
