Pictures are nice, as are more specific descriptions of what's wrong (and like Phree said- what state is the blaster in). Are you saying the LS won't catch when you pull the priming handle all the way back?

I also have this problem with the two longshots I have done ar removals to. The bolt catches about an eighth of an inch sooner than it should, so you cannot remove clips like normal and loading darts causes jams because the bolt does not go back far enough to allow the dart to pop off the clip. If anyone knows of a fix, it'd be nice to know.

I had that problem before also. I just took it apart and re-assembled it and it worked fine again.

One solution a friend of mine did was saw a little bit off the lips of each of his magazines... I doubt many people want to do that.
The second thing I would suggest is maybe check the size of the spring because using a really tough/long spring though it catches on one of my other friend's longshot he had the same issue due to a stretched spring.
I had another idea about what it could be but it slipped my mind, I'll post if I remember it, sorry.

The way I solved it the first time was sanding down the whole breach part until it worked, which made for less barrel space. I did figure out why this happens though, you have to keep the plastic part that the AR is in inside the gun, I just glued the pieces back together and threw the AR in the trash....

Quick fix, cut a little bit off the breech. Works fine for me, and I've had this problem on every longshot I've ever had.

well, being more spacific,,,, it doesnt go back far enough to catch....and absolutley WILL NOT BUDGE farther back

EDIT1: i streched the LS spring and added a recon spring, with AR removal, and it doesn't go far enough back to catch.....as previously stated

Why don't you get some pics? Also, stretching springs is a bad practice.

See, this is the problem I kept running into. I added a 1 1/4" washer to the front of the plunger head (Swapped out the screw too). Cuts down on plunger volume by a hair (moot with a stock breech), but is a great quick fix!

I think your breech is smaller than it has to be. It most likely is overlapping and isn't pushing the black plunger rod into the catch.

Sorry if someone else meant to already say this.

The springs compress entirely before the plunger rod catches in your blaster.
An easy fix that I would say would help is to cut down your recon spring because of the
space it takes up when compressed.

Make sure to open your longshot and push the springs on the plunger rod as far back
as possible first to see if the springs compress all the way before the catch. If so, do what I
stated.

Hope this helps because I have never opened up a longshot.

Are you using the stock plunger head? If you are, there is a little nub that goes into a slot in the back of the plunger head. Check to see if your plunger head is aligned right.

Are the plunger springs seated correctly? I had the same problem with a recon. the end of the spring kept getting stuck between the end of the plunger and the wall of that hole that the plunger goes through in the back of the plunger. I realize that the recon is a reverse plunger, but it never hurt to check for something similar.

I've worked on a good 15-20 LSs and never had this problem. The only thing I can think of would be like others have said; that the plunger head is not seated correctly. There are a few little guide bars on the octa/sexta/whatever-gon part of the plunger head that must be put in correctly or eles your plunger will be too long at the front. The blot is what pushes the plunger rod back, and it does this by pushing the plunger head first, so if the head is a bit too far forward then it won't be able to push the back of the rod into the catch all the way. Also as others have said pics would be very help full. Another thing could be that the two springs are tieing up with each other, but I've used Recon springs in longshots in additon to other springs as well, without any problems. Hope this helps, but if I were you, I'd take it apart, take pics of the bolt assembley in the gun, and then take picks of the plunger rod with springs and all out side of the tube, post these pics and I can prolly give some better advice.

DON'T DO THIS IF YOUR BREACH ISN'T MODDED. But if it is, then drill about this much (_) <--- [Actual length!] to the shell where you put the bolt in. I hope that makes sense. Your bolt is too short, but just by a little bit. So like I said, add that much to the back end of the slot and it should let your bolt go farther back that usual, letting the breach go all the way back.
