Ingredients-

Purple thinwall PVC. If it's not purple, it won't work.
1 Wye or 1 T and a 1 45. I tested with both configurations, and they both work fine.
45 degree bend pvc conduit
Endcap/ballvalve/whatever

The conduit piece, which is the crux of this whole thing, is intended for electrical work, but it has the same dimensions as PVC pipe, and appears to be the same sort of PVC aside from the grey color. As you can see, there's not a lot of barrel there. I have seen substantial range improvement with a coupler and another 6" of PVC, but at the cost of reliability. Without an extension, the Aabow shown shoots tagger darts ~40-50 feet. The clip holds shown holds 6 darts. I tried it with a 4 foot long clip, and it worked fine, but the range may have been less.

Problems / Disadvantages:

Misfired occur about 1/10 of every shot--In most cases, the dart still fires, but doesn't fly as far. In the remaining cases, a double shot is the next shot.

Clips carry less darts due to the length of taggers vs hopper slugs.

Without adding some sort of framework and barrel extension, it's not very accurate or easy to aim.

Wow this is really useful. It allows most of the high volume current outdoor primaries to be usable indoors, with almost no work. Have you tested this say with a hamp, to see if a higher air output increases reliability? Also do the taggers fall out of the conduit if the gun is shaken around alot?

A Kudos on this is worth my 100th post. This is beautiful- I picked up a conduit in the store lasst week, dropped a dart from my pocket through it, and thought "meh, I'll think about it." A dart door would make this great- how well does it improve deadspace range loss vs. RCSB? Also, are Streamlines compatable?
Truly knockback.

Why is it that only purple thinwall will work? Is that just a joke? Is it even sold in purple?

Nice to see you found a use for the 45 degree bends. Can't wait to see an improved version.

First off, great job on this! Anyway, you said that it misfired 1 out of 10 shots, did this improve with a barrel extension? If I understand this correctly, wouldn't ranges drastically decrease from the first shot to the last? Since RSCB's do this with stefans, when a tagger which is much longer, is fired, there would be a lot of empty space. Also, is the last shot most commonly the misfire? If the other shots don't go very far, it would make since for the last shot to misfire or not even leave the barrel.

Flexpvc. If it's a PVC part, it's there.

Found 'em at Loews next to the grey conduit PVC (go figure) in the electrical aisle for about $0.80 each. Kinda expensive as fittings go, but useful. They make great choppers too.

EDIT-oops, I thought we were talking about the other exotic part. Yeah, haven't seen any purple PVC at Loews....

What is the ID of the purple PVC?
You used "SDR21 PurplePipe 1/2 x 1ft", I assume?
Will you and Ryan be selling this mystical pipe due to Flex's shipping cost?

Same as regular 200 PSI 1/2" PVC. Around .71" I believe.

Very nice. I've been looking in to making hoppers for some of my blasters, however the main issues were that I didn't have the right materials, and that for now we are limited to stock darts here (because they have constant specifications everywhere, making it easier for new people to get involved). I knew that I needed a smooth bend, however I didn't realize there were already pre-built components like that.

This solves both those problems. Nice. I will try a variation of this as soon as I get home from vacation.

Haven't built it into a HAMP yet-- If they work it will be much more accurate with the long barrel.
edit: No, it's not possible to shake taggers through the conduit bend.

1. No it didn't improve, it got worse

2. Ranges didn't noticeably change from first shot to last, even with a 4 foot clip.

3. I haven't found any correlation between misfiring and clip fill.

No, I'm not selling purple PVC. You could always use purple markers to make regular white thinwall PVC purple. Or even spraypaint, but that's hard to find in purple.

edit: You could also wrap it in purple construction paper, or use lots of purple stickers.

I don't see how they could profit very much off of purple thinwall, because everyone knows where to get it.

WOuld it be possible to substitute standard 3/4" PVC for the exotic 1/2" thinwall? If I remember correctly, they have similar ID's.

Streamlines are special. They have a 1/2-3/4" peg that connects the plastic tip to the foam body, so they are extremely stiff in the front part of the dart. They also fire poorly from 1/2" pvc, because the air escapes around the dart. The best hopper that you could use with streamlines is the clip system, a revolver gun, or an RSCB, or you could man up and make stefanss, something I haven't done yet. :)

Purple PVC primer brushed along the exterior works nicely too.

Thinwall 1/2" PVC is not exotic. It is available at most big box home improvement stores and other plumbing supply houses.

I JUST said why this won't work with streamlines.
UNLESS, you put a coupler on the E.Conduit, and then attatch a reamed PVC barrel with CPVC inside it, but I'm betting that dead space would kill the dart range, ans well as the plunger head.

So, since people can't seem to read the title, this hopper clip is for stock tagger darts. Streamlines have a different OD, and use entirely different everything size-wise. I'm sure I could make a hopper clip for streamlines (Many of the homemade wyes could be easily adapted to this), but it wouldn't be worth the effort. Nerf makes perfectly good clips for them already, and they swirl out when fired from any blaster that shoots more than 25 feet anyways.

Also, 3/4" PVC would probably work fine, albeit less efficiently, since it's got a similar ID. Just make sure that it's purple. Thinwall IS exotic for some people, remember that some people don't live near a variety of hardware stores. Most of the stores near me DONT sell thinwall, and I've never seen a plumbing supply house in my life.

Sonics would work with this setup too, I presume. And a loose-barreled hopper wouldn't lose much distance because the air's going to go straight instead of backwards up the clip.
Everybody should get purple spraypaint, it's super useful. And found in basically every hardware store and Wal-Mart that I've been to.
Thinwall 1/2" PVC is a rarity. Most chain stores only sell 3/4" and 1" thinwall. And none in purple.

Off-topic: Streamlines that have unusually larger holes do not spiral out of control. They just twirl on a straight path. And the ones that spiral will spiral out of most clip blasters regardless of ranges.

You can use 3/4 CPVC and sand the outside/the inside of the fitting. Nice job.

I think your just picking on people who can't get ahold of anything other than pink PVC.
Does this affect accuracy at all?
