I just bought a new Stampede from Target. The blaster seemed to have a lot of little nicks on the paint and there was also a dart in the jam chamber. What worried me more was that a screw fell out when I shook it. It works, but should I be worried that that screw was from someting important and that it will stop working? And no, I'm not going to open my gun because I'm a noob and don't want to break my new $40 toy.

You CAN exchange it for another one. Target's pretty good on exchanges, so if you feel that you've gotten a defective blaster I'd recommend exchanging it for a new one.

I really don't think a loose screw should be a huge concern. The factory probably just put in the screws poorly. Just in case, I would tighten all the screws.

The blaster works fine, it doesn't seem to be defective at all.

You should be worried. All the time. It's a god damn tragedy. But seriously, don't double post like that again or I"ll ban you.

Must have been quite the bumpy ride, enough to unwrap a dart and load it into the gun even.

You should just take it back. It might work fine now, but why did the last person return it?
Unless you like paying full price for something that is used.

I think the last person that returned was probably not of the highest level of intelligence and the reason that they returned it was that there was a dart jam and they assumed it was something they could not fix themselves, not that there was an actual problem with the gun.

I had the same problem with a screw in my Stampede.
Like knexpert66 said, the screw wasn't screwed in that properly. I did the same thing as you and just returned the god darned thing for another one.

What is wrong with all of you dummies suggesting he not worry about it? If you buy something new, then you should always get a new unit. If you open the box and it is damaged, take it back. There should be no question here. If any of you kids bothered to ask your parents this same question, they are quite likely to agree and offer to take you back to the store.

Okay, guys. Only post something if you have something to say. The last few replies were needless.
