Alpha Trooper Accuracy?

I'm shooting at a deck of cards from 10 feet away, most of the time I hit it, not a problem. Then, I move back to 20 feet, and everything goes wrong. Darts are flying all over the place. I was able to hit it once in 20 shots. Sometimes the darts will fly up to 4 feet to the right or left. It appears to be totally random which direction the darts go in, and sometimes they fly straight.
Have others had this problem? Is it my gun, or the darts?
*No modifications to the gun or darts*

No, that will not even shoot most likely.Alright thanks, i figured it was the darts it was the only thing that made sense. Is there any way to load them that will minimize this effect? Such as with the hole in the dart facing downward?

I think you misunderstood me, I meant rotating the dart in the clip so that the hole in the head of the streamline was facing a specific way. I didn't mean to like, jam the dart in upright or something strange like that.
I'd recommend modifying the darts more for best accuracy. It's really quite simple, what you do is cut off half of the tip of the dart, where the hole is, then filling the tip with hotglue. Make sure the dome is as even and balanced as possible for best results. Wait 'till it dries and you've got a dead accurate streamline. Please not that I am not taking credit for this idea; someone else thought of it. Hope this helps!
This seems to be the popular recommendation. I'll try it out, although couldn't you just fill the hole with glue and smooth it over, instead of having to cut off the head and do all that work?

Yeah, just to answer you straight. No, this will not help. The gun is just shitty. That's why we mod them and make most of our shit homemade. Because we can do it right.

Explosives aren't really my style. I prefer thermite.

Its probibly not the gun itself. Streamlines can't fly strait for crap. Its all because of that little hole on the tip. This can be fixed by cutting off the hollow tip and putting hot glue of some other weight in there.
It has very little to do with the "whistler" hole in the tip at the velocities a stock blaster can produce. It does come into play however, with higher-powered blasters.
With stock(ish) blasters, the problem is the balance of Streamlines. Whereas most stock darts' weight is focused in the tip of the dart(Whistlers, Suction cups, Taggers), a Streamline has very little mass there. Hasbro designed them to be low profile, yet they needed some mass in order to fly. They did this by extending the "stem" back further into the dart, making them effectively stall constantly in flight, which is the effect we know as "fishtailing."
If you purchase one of the hot glue guns with a precision tip, you can fill the heads with hot glue without modifiying the tip whatsoever. Simply fill them via through the hole, trim any excess glue that seeps out after it cools.

But using streamlines on a homemade or other high powered blaster gets decent accuracy. At least with my darts, which have a pretty small hole as streamlines go.
At least mod the alpha trooper if you want accuracy. If you also stick hot glue in the darts, please note that hot glue is quite hard compared to the original tip.
