Link to smg firing disconnected using magstrike parts. One shows operation, other shows it firing from a different angle

Finally im validated, and just in time for my latest and greatest project:
Presenting... "Project LSD"
(praying the pictures show up)

Tada
This mod was based off of a good friend of mine named SGT MIK. You can find his his mod on youtube. search "intergrated titan" spelled that way and you will find it
it took a year of work and its finally done
I would show inside pictures, but sadly, in order for the hornet tanks to work properly they had to be epoxyed, which makes the shell unopenable B)
So lets start off with the longshot part of it. Basic mods; AR removal, Stretched longshot and nf spring inside it, with padding, and all locks removed. it gets typical double springed ls ranges. I did his bolt relocation mod. Not only does it protect you from broken boltsleds, but it is way more comfortable to hold and eaiisier to prime.

Onto the secondary weapon, the titan. The undermounted titan is powered by the L shaped pump, and is triggered by the keyring in front of the trigger. Just like Mik's, i cut a slit for it to slide into.

Posted Image

I have added 4 6" brass barrels, making the undermounted rocketlauncher double as a 4 to 8 streamline dart or a 8 to 16 stefan shotgun. yea, thats alot of darts. i have also coublered the front of it, so you can add any cpvc barrels you want. this is a custom one i made for all you bbb fans

Posted Image

it is the perfect size for both a single dart of any kind or a bbb arrow. how fun. and it fits on this cute little coupler here. i also added a 2 in 1 rscb rail i call an ARSCB. ill get to that later

Posted Image

Posted Image

now we move onto the hornet tanks. The titan pump actouly has 2 output ports on it, so i hooked the hornet manifold directly up to it. Due to some law of physics, the air always goes to whichever tank has less air, wether it be a titan tank or a hornet tank. the hornet tanks then go back to the blast button here. (you can see the keyring here too)

Posted Image

Both air restrictors have been removed, and im considering a cpvc barrel replacement

Last but not least is the homemade SMG. I descovered it on accident when i hooked a magstrike up to the back of an rscb clip. to my shock, the darts came wizzing out at a higher rof than a magstrike. I connected a hose from the other hose hole in the titan tank to a rf20 trigger, which was placed where the sight on the titan was. A perfect fit. The hose went from there to the back of the rscb clip. It now functioned as both a standard rscb clip and an automatic rscb (arscb) without any modification.

Posted Image

The rscb clip is removable, and the cap on the bottom front side of the titan tank seals it, so it can still be used as a SMG even when in the inactive state. when it is plugged into the titans coupler, it will work as a standard rscb too.

Posted Image

the rscb in its active state. i put a crayola marker in the handle so it holds a dart. kinda handy. The reverse rail on the side of the titan is still there, so if i feel the need to have another gun, i can do that.

Posted Image

looking at the front of the gun (and my foot). i misplaced a hornet barrel. ill find it eventully. the tank is croked in the pic, but i fixed it after i took the pic.

So this is my first post. Thanks to SGT MIK for his help
questions? comments? concerns? Flames? Spell check corrections due to dyslexicness?

The gun is front heavy, but i added some weight in the stock to balance it out. its worth the weight though. its so effective, actually, its banned from half the wars i have with my friends because its an unfair advantage to whoever is using it

So the Magstrike/RF20 trigger is just a steady stream of air that shoots out darts, right? No pulsing shots or anything?
Really cool. And intimidating.

Exactly. The air pushes the dart until it gets stuck in the cpvc. When it is lodged in the cpvc, it creates a perfect seal. Pressure builds until it overcomes the friction, and the dart is shot. This process repeats more than 10 times per second. The more pressure in your tank, the faster and farther the darts fly. Pulling the trigger halfway will also slow the rof, so you have total contol of how fast it shoots

This is the best overkill I have ever seen. But with all those guns, is it hard to operate comfortably?

The more overkill the better I say! That was my logic with my TitanStrike project (Longstrike with a Titan tank integrated in so that it shoots missiles off the side).

Facinating! Any chance of a photobucket hosted (youtube gets firewalled by my computer at work) video of this part firing? If it's as functional as you make it sound i'd like to integrate this mod into one of my own guns.

It's actouly really comfterble to operate. While it may be a little heavy, it works like a charm and everything is within easy reach

I don't have a YouTube video of it firing, but I do have a video of a detached version using a magstrike bladder pump and trigger to create the airflow instead on my iPhone. I uploaded my photos from my phone too, so it should let me post a video up the same way. The whole thing shoots ridiculously fast, and never jams. I will post a writeup of it when I get the chance. However, it's extremely simple; it's the same as an rscb or an inline clip, just with a shorter sharper angled barrel, and a constant airflow from the back

Any chance of a write up for just the "homemade SMG"? It sounds like something I would want to build.

I have explained how it works, but as I said earlier, I will eventually do a writeup on the smg. Would a post in this thread be an appropriate place for it or should I start a new thread in it for it in homemades?

I would say a post here would be appropriate, as it is part of this gun.

Sounds trippy man. On topic, I think that it could look cleaner. It seems like all you did was slap on a bunch of stuff on the side, I can't imagine how this took you a year. That's just my opinion, no one has to agree with me.

A little harsh but you dp have a point. Here, leme do some 'splanin. The titan is entirely internally integrated. The hornet tanks were going to be the same, but there was not enough deadspace for the manifold, and the casing would not shut. However, i did manage to get the tube into the longshot, behind the orange mag guider thingy, and to an internal blast button, and drilled a hole to it. Only the hornet tanks, manifold, ARSCB clip, and a few utilitary parts are external. I originally had a minimized magstrike that was going to be mounted on the side with the pipes, which would cover it up, but discovered the homemade smg idea, which was more effective and space efficient. I plan to put plexyglass over the manafold, give it a few more coats of paint, and do other tweaks to make it look a little less ghetto. It took me a year because I have never done a project this big, and had to experiment many different methods and even invent a homemade automatic nerf gun. But hey, When I finally learned the manafold had to be outside the shell I thought the same thing to, so i do slightly agree with you. However, like I said, the ugly external pipe look should be fixed soon. I did ask for flames, so yea. Do you have any ideas to make it more visually appealing? If you know what I could do better please correct me.

Knexpert66
Haven't done ranges yet but here are the statistics:
Longshot: ar removal, streatched LS spring + stretched NF spring. no breech replacement
Titan: varies depending on the barrel, but i havent done anything special to the Titan to beef it up other than hollow the front
Hornet: slightly better than normal ranges, due to the fact that I could actouly remove the barrels completely, and remove the white disc instead of destroying it. I drilled out the remains so the dart goes touches the tanks too
Smg: havent done ranges yet at all, but it seem farther than the magstrike

I will get the exact ranges and numbers as soon as I can

If i may, I'd like to point out that guns painted all black are generally discouraged at many organized wars. An all black gun could be mistaken for a real gun, which could turn into a bad situation should neighbors become concerned, or law enforcement somehow becomes involved.

Brighter colors identifying a nerf gun as a toy are encouraged. If you wish to research someone I count as a master, take a look at some of Bagheads paint jobs. Any thing he touches turns out gorgeous.

Good suggestion. However, im horrible at painting, and I dont go to nerf wars. they usually happen on my property, which is pretty big, and all the neibors know I mod nerfguns. I honestly like the black look, and it has an orange tip with orange mags. i have considered doing a blue tiger camo (call of duty) paintjob on it, but fear it's dificulty and risk of screwing up. I will look into it

If you are worried that you will mess up the paint job, I would suggest using some hand paints and doing some detail work in bright colors so it's less black.

And hell, if you mess up a paint job, you can always paint over and start again. It's not a destructive process.

Ok I'll look into paints. Anyway, im gonna post diagrams of how the hoseing works since I can't open up the gun anymore. I will also post a guide to my ARSCB, since I've had a few requests for that. Aside from painting, any other additions to make it better or cleaner? And feel free to ask questions

With the sheer amount of stuff on the longshot, I don't see much in the way of sticking things into the longshot shell besides tubing. You could also leave it outside, which reminds me of the Firefly and the weird patterns in the shell.

Salindin_Naz has a guide to painting. Doesn't help that much, but the tips are helpful in keeping your brushes alive. http://nerfhaven.com...showtopic=14803

That looks pretty sick. On a sidenote, Stretching springs usually decreases longevity, so I wouldn't recommend it.
