A lot of you probably follow Nerf on Facebook and have already read this. I thought it was worth linking to on Nerfhaven for anybody who hasn't. There's a couple of fluff questions, but the last guy asks one that I've seen come up here a lot.

Corey Creehan Nerf Q: I have noticed the N-Strike line becoming more and more battery operated. Do you feel that Nerf is getting away from its roots a little too much? Don’t get me wrong an electric blaster every now and again is awesome and fun but for my taste (and money) nothing beats a good old springer.
- Although our latest two introductions N-Strike Stampede ECS blaster and N-Strike Barricade RV-10 blaster both use batteries, the N-Strike Longstrike CS-6 blaster and N-Strike Raider Rapid Fire CS-35 blaster held strong to our non-battery operated roots. If you’re partial to one over the other, not to fear: there will be a mix of both battery and non-battery powered blasters going forward. That’s all we can say for now, though, so keep checking back for more details as they’re revealed!
So now we can all get back to bitching about reverse plungers instead of batteries. Personally I think we're about due for another single shot pistol and a missile/arrow launcher, but that's getting a little to speculative so I guess I'll stop here.
↓ They're talking about how they can't say anymore about what blasters they're working on yet, not that they're going to change their minds about making manual blasters.
