Greetings,

It's very possible that my previous posts have been removed. I searched for any previous topic I may have begun here but couldn't find one.

I can't ever remember if I'm breaking forum policy by dropping my link here for you all but I always think of the Haven first when posting a new installment of our popular Nerf webseries. Admins/Mods please feel free to remove this post if I'm in violation of NerfHaven's posting policies, I certainly don't mean to offend.

Just thought I'd drop by and share the link with you all.
Nerf Assassination 4: The Firm

Hope you all are doing well.

I'm willing to bet that your videos keep getting removed because they're boring and stupid.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Yea, they don't have any ball shots. What's a nerf movie without ball shots?

I suggest that you use airsoft guns for your future videos (granted that you're on private property so that you don't get shot by some overzealous cop). It's just too hard to take seriously when you're running around with glowing yellow guns that shoot ten feet.

Nerf is meant to be silly and stupid, not milsim.

I think thats the fun of it, I think they're trying the so-serious-that-its-funny routine and it works.

Agreed. Its nice seeing Nerf war movies that aren't crappy and made by 7 year olds. We could definitely use more of these kind of videos.

I must say, the backwards baseball cap did not scream "professional killer" to me.

I don't know why some of you guys find this stupid, I think this is a great movie. Nice editing, acting, and very tactical. I'm looking forward for the 5th installment. :)

After watching the other videos, I think I preferred it with less dialogue and more action. Not to say the latest one is bad, but there was a bit too much "plot" for a silly Nerf video, IMO.

Have you ever heard of a game called Medal Of Honor?

Anyway I thought that this was fantastic! If none of us went to wars an were just regular joes then we would all say, "I've always wanted to shoot someone with a nerf gun while driving." Which I do!

Great film! Keep that atmospere in your films going!

Great video, I found it really entertaining! Anyone who thinks it's stupid because you used nerf blasters doesn't get it. Keep it up!

I dunno. I mean, the acting is YouTube quality (bad), the plot is dumb, and the set is obviously inappropiate in relation to the story. It's like a porno with Nerf guns instead of sex.

That said, this is still pretty cool, and i like it. So, props, i guess.

"Stampede, a hurried flight of frightened animals." And then you whip out a stampede. On a Car. Thats awesome.

I appreciate all the feedback - both positive and negative.

To respond to some of your thoughts:
- I definitely understand the quality of acting, dialogue and plot are on par with YouTube
- Thanks for all the props on the editing. I use Final Cut and a Canon HF10 those that are interested.
- In response to the "use airsoft" suggestion: we get that a lot. However, someone (maybe Ubermensch) mentioned the fact that the use of Nerf guns is the point. The use of Nerf is extremely intentional and in no way does the series hope to be realistic. We enjoy running/driving around playing with Nerf and we find the videos (and hope you find the videos) to be comical due to the very fact that it pretends to be serious while using vibrantly unrealistic weaponry.
- @MaveriK96 Definitely was something I was worried about. We thought we'd try something new. The narrative portion of this particular installment ran more than twice as long as I had intended. Some of the lengthiness was due to us making up for never giving any plot direction in NA1-3. I'm hoping to trim it back in the NA5 without completely compromising the story.

Thanks again to everyone for the comments, support and criticism. Part of the reason I returned here to post the link is because I know I will receive intelligent responses. It's nice to avoid leetspeak, unnecessary caps and blatant disregard for some level of basic english skills.

Yeah, I think the same amount of plot could be achieved with some shorter back-and-forths between characters rather than a super-long mission set-up monologue.

One idea could be to have the mission set-up dialogue be interspersed with the actual mission taking place, such that as they are talking about what they need to do as it is happening. A lot of movies these days like to use that technique and I think it can work well if properly implemented.

In any case, looking forward to seeing the next installment. There seems to be an overall lack of decent Nerf-related movie-videos out there.
