If rules for nerf are lame then can I make a thread about taking a poop on a printout of the CoC? Or will that turn Talio on too much?

Nothing anyone does on the internet constitutes actually nerfing. There are fucking rules on the internet.

Not really sure the purpose of this thread either...

If there were ever to be a game, there would be a ruleset for that game, as there is no specific league that determines rules for all foam-related conflicts.

It was just asking if the new shields were going to be as accepted as the Manta is but now I'm not sure anymore.

I would not go to a war that allowed shields other then the manta ray. That's because the manta ray is pretty rare and for the most part useless. It makes a seriously shitty shield and they're not the easiest things in the world to find. That being said, if you find one and are actually really good with it, it looks super impressive. Not to mention there's easy ways around it. Shields and melee are just plain faggoty and you probably like looking at dicks if you're into them. There's my opinion. This thread sucks.

I agree that shields shouldn't be something that everyone has, and that is incredibly prevalent. But really, not allowing the new shield gun not to block shots is pretty hypocritical and elitist. Restricting shields to only the people who have the money or happen to land a manta ray is kinda pompous. What you are basically saying is "Oh you can't get a shield because its easy to get. Sorry bro, you're gonna go have to buy a manta ray if you want a shield, rather than use the gun you already have!"
Though they should be restricted, and the rules for shields should be a bit more coherent. Like no gluing manta rays/stampede shields on a crossbow or other primary. And personally, if you don't allow the new shields (well shield, the sword and shield one shouldn't be allowed. Its not a fucking gun.) then mantas shouldn't be allowed to block either. We don't do fucking grandfather rules here.

I do see a question of consistency if gun hits are allowed along with the Stampede shield. Probably be hard to determine what exactly got hit.

it has nothing to do with the fact that the manta ray is old and elitest, it's the fact that they suck so I don't give a shit. If you can actually use one effectively then that's awesome and you should get a god damn metal. But I'm not playing with a bunch of 16 year olds carrying swords and shields. I'm just not. That's fucking gay. I mean playing nerf guns is gay already, but once you put that into the mix it becomes booty shorts and belly shirt on roller skates gay. And I like to keep my homosexuality manly.

Nothing is stopping people from hosting their own wars and allowing all kinds of shields; Vacc, Talio, and the other crew usually stays on the east coast/NJ area anyways. That is only a small bunch of people in the USA that people in this thread act like they have to get permission and validation from. If you want to use shields/swords at your wars, DO SO!

I think that sums it up pretty well. And you never know. If you have a war with shields, and it works out really well, you might change the perceptions of a lot of people here. Like everything else, the rules for a war are organic. Even Einstein has been proven wrong over time.

Speaking of which, I'm goign to go work on some rules ideas of my own and try to test them out with some of my friends.

Shields are just the same in every field of shooting activities, it allows player who are either to slow or to afraid to actually play run around and block everyones shots, i dont like the manta or the Nerf's new excuses for shields or mele weapons, so for once i'm going to agree with talio ( despite him most likely not enjoying my presence ) and say that this thread sucks. Noted I have NEVER said this so you should feel special!
