Edit: McMaster sells only one kind of closed cell polyethylene foam rod, which is part number 93295K33.

yeah thats the stuff but does anyone know if its consistency and barrel fit?i do believe he is talking about this 93345K68
i'm going to make some slugs so i would like to know this.
You don't want to get that. Firstly, its foam rubber, which I can not guarantee will work. Second, its around $12.31 per 10 feet, which is not worth it at all. You are better off just buying normal gray/black foam.

If at first you don't succeed, add more epoxy.

well i would rather have just orange foam because i am making slug darts and don't want the hole in the dart.Nerf brand dart foam is orange and is always the same size. If you make 1.25" darts, it's about $8 per 60 darts. Not exactly a steal, but it's good foam with a bright color. If you choose to go this route, I suggest suction cup darts. Their heads are the easiest to remove without damaging the foam.

Don't worry so much about what other people will allow. Throw your own wars and kick your friends' asses until they all want one.

It was several months ago that I bought the stuff, so no, I don't have pictures of the darts. I salvaged what I could of the washers and felt and threw the foam away.utahnerf, on Aug 27 2010, 05:22 AM, said:
