Yeah. I have a new SM750 mod.

I Sch. 80'd it.

So, I took the gun apart and cut out 6 inches of Sch. 80. Since it doesn't fit through the hole in the front, I just cut it off. Bobert sanded down the part of the barrel that goes into the airtank as I was doing this. Finally, I used a lot of electrical tape for a good look and to help the hot glue keep the barrel on. It gets more range then any other barrel material I've tested, including 6 inches of PETG.

If you want PVC to fit into an old-model SM750, you can use a dremel or a file to sand away at the original barrel aperture until it is 3/4" wide(the OD of PVC).

Secondly, I don't think the SM750's air tank volume warrants 12" of PETG.

You may want to use more like 6-7". I honestly don't fully understand why you even put it in the schd. 80...maybe for nesting? I'd use 7", then, just so you have something to pull out. A foot of barrel is something you want on a gun that has a much higher volume of air coming out...more like a 5000 or maybe a SS2.

I don't think that duct tape somewhat over the barrel makes it accurate...

No, no, I meant the picture under it.

Yeah, I just cut it down to about 7 inches, so I can still take it out if I feel like it. And Janga, we sanded it down plenty. Fits fine.

I just had that foot of PETG lying around, and jammed it inside. It looks cool like that, but 7 inches is more functional.

I put in the Sch. 80 because it's the material my darts fit best in. My darts have a larger diameter then 1/2, and so the slightly larger then 1/2 inch ID of the Sch. 80 works the best. I have to twist and ramrod the darts into PETG, which is tough. And the 9/16 inch brass works pretty well, but not as well as Sch. 80.

It seems like you think I was referring to the old barrel... No, by aperture I meant the orange disc on the front. You originally made it sound like you hacked the whole thing off. You can get the innards of the SM750 out through the back if you pry the rear orange clip off, then the orange disc on the front can support your barrel. But doing this requires sanding down with a dremel or a file. Looks neater too, since you don't need to reinforce with tape.

Janga, I don't have a dremel. I just use my dad's drill, and I don't have the sanding attachment. We did all of this manually. That was the original idea, because sanding down the front of the orange thing would make it equal with the back part.

Okay, this will look really lame, but here it goes.
The orange front piece orignially looked like this: _|-, execpt the | is the same height as the -.
Pvc would've fit if we had gotten it like this: __, but with only regular sandpaper, it took a really long time to do just one side.
So we hacked off the front. Personally, I think it looks better because the front of my gun was luminous orange. I mean, like, the brightest orange you can think of. My parents didn't like that my SM750 was straight black, so the next time I went to Home Depot I bought orange spray paint and painted the barrel and the front.
Now, they still don't fell good about, I plan to paint the fake airtank on the back with something cool.
