In this video for user says that the Clear Deploy doesn't get as much range as the normal Delpoy.



And the site Adult Fans of Nerf also says that their clear Deploy sent to them by Nerf is also not as strong as a normal one.

Is this just a fluke, or are the Clear series blasters not as strong as the normal ones? Is this just a fluke, or bad blasters?

How are you and your clear blasters doing?

I've had the opposite experience with my clear Mavericks. They've generally out performed my blue ones by ~5 feet. However, those are the "Limited Edition" ones from the black boxes and not "Clear Series" Mavericks. I'll have to get around to unboxing my clear Nfs to test them versus a regular one.

Ok, so I just took out one of my clear Nfs and unboxed a yellow one I bought recently and had sitting around. Both fresh out of the box the performance is pretty much identical. Honestly though, with the Nf in particular, if you've got another one that works better you could always just drop those internals into the pretty clear shell.

Bob, I think AbstractSociety is referring to strength as in ranges, not the durability of the plastic used in the shell. However, you bring up an excellent point.

Oh yeah my bad. I was talking about the power since thats what was mentioned in the above links.

I've had the opportunity to test out multiple units of all the blasters in the clear series and so far, they all exhibit the same widely varying QC of normal blasters.

Testing within the same clear series blaster model sets, i've found units that could shoot further than others while some had noticeably less power than normal.

We all know that Nerf blasters are toys and as such not manufactured to ultra-high tolerances, so i guess these differences in power and range are simply a result of "manufacturing variations" even within the same batch of blasters.

So it all depends on luck when you open the box!

If my blaster isn't going as far as it should be, how easy is it to return it?

Sadly, if you notice how the box says, for example "Shoots up to 35 feet", that means it can shoot less. If it isn't shooting as far as its colored counterpart, that is not a defect, simply, as SGNerf put it, a manufacturing variation. Nerf blasters are made with precision in mind in regards to them firing and functioning as advertised, not that they all shoot the exact same range.

You will probably not be able to return it. I personally would not take the return if your reason is it isn't shooting as far as a previous release. At most they may let you exchange it, but if you keep going back in the hopes of getting one that shoots as far as the colored ones, they may stop you for suspicious activity and refuse further exchanges or returns.

Seriously though, how likely is it that we aren't going to mod these things anyway? It's kinda silly to care what the stock ranges are.

My clear mav shoots streamlines better then any stock gun I've seen yet. The recon seems the same and the deploy is just a shitty gun all around. My two cents have been added.

My clear Maverick sometimes doesn't rotate the cylinder when I pull the trigger but my friend has three non clear and they work fine! Is this just me?

I agree with Talio; my clear mav shoots with crazy stock range, especially with streamlines.

I received a stock clear NF a while back and discovered that it would not shoot stock ammo at all. It seems to me that the clear series of blasters seems to have more defects than the standard ones.

My friend's clear Recon shoots further than my Alpha Trooper, which shoots further than my stock Recon. I attribute the boosted range in the clear Recon to a faulty air restrictor, as it's pretty loud even when dry-firing.
