Hi I was modding my longshot and I lost my catch piece (Not the spring). So I was wondering is there any way I can buy one or make a homeade catch?

Its fairly easy to make new parts for the longshot. You can make them out of flattened PVC if your persistent enough. If you really insist on making one, I can go and dimension one for you. If not, I'm fairly sure I have a spare laying around so if you want, i could probably mail it out to you if you paid shipping; just PM me.

I wouldn't use PVC; it probably won't be strong enough. I'd use a small piece of polycarbonate if I were you. It's not that expensive, if you purchase it in small quantities, say, at a hardware store.

I, too have a LS catch, though, if you need one.

I'd be willing to make one from polycarbonate if you want an upgraded part.

Uh, my LS of Doom uses ALOT of flattened PVC parts. i used flattened 1" PVC to make a catch that has stood up to well over 2,000 shots with 5" of a [k26] and a first gen LS spring.

I suggest you use a scrollsaw. If you don't have one, get one.

Amazing how unhelpful you guys are...I don't think buying a scroll saw and making part himself is as easy as you say it is. I think buying a catch from Drac would be best; the stock catches are pretty shitty. $5 or so to fix a weak link in your gun is worth it IMO.

Assuming he knows how to use a saw, cutting out a catch is not very difficult. Besides, scrollsaws are incredibly useful tools. They make much cleaner cuts than Dremels, and they're definitely worth the initial investment of ~$100.

Very true, if you use them. If he simply want to replace the missing catch on this blaster, then buying a new tool is a little overboard.

Good point. I didn't really think of it that way...In that case, buying one of your catches is probably the way to go.

Thank you, Sorrow.

Is your new catch stock? If so, yes. If not, of what material is it made? Unless it's polycarbonate or aluminum, you should probably reinforce it.
