Couldn't you use a cut down PVC coupler rather than that coupler on the right? It seems like the same thing on the side you cut off, but I could be wrong.

A regular 1/2" PVC coupler will not work, as it will not fit into the 3/4" cap. The fitting I listed has a smaller OD than a 1/2" coupler.

^This. I spent like 20 minutes trying to find something like Beaver found when I originally constructed the plunger head but couldn't find anything.

To jump on the revolution bandwagon, as shown in my RSCBow write up, you can do away with the nylon spacer and help cup the rubber washer using a "belleville washer," as identified by Zorn. The funneled shape provides the space required to seat the nail in the trigger.

You'll do a lot better if you spread the lips with the front. Trying to wriggle the back in there first seems a bit counterintuitive.

Not quite. DTReaper's plunger head had the metal catchface reinforcement, but still required drilling out the ID of a washer washer to the OD of CPVC...which is an annoying task, to say the least.

Thanks for reading my write-up. If you had, you would know I´m not trying to make up for what I lack in penis size with internet credit-grabbing. I don´t care if what I posted is similar to something else. I´m just trying to help the community without incessantly posting a link to a shitty paint image of an RSCB that misleadingly teaches that gas particles travel to the end of the clip before they collide with the back of a seated dart.
