There will be 2 options for barrels so pay attention!

For this mod you will need...
-A blade of some sort
-E-tape
-CPVC coupler (for barrel option 2)
-CPVC

Lets start with why I did this mod. I got a DT3 at a thrift store and all I did was lube the plunger head and put in a 3" CPVC barrel. This was getting me decent ranges, but I wanted more. I find the handle to be extremely comfortable and the gon to be underrated. So enough talk and onto the mod.

First: Open up the gun by unscrewing all 7 screws. (6 for me because when I got it it was missing 1 screw)

Here is a pic of the catch and trigger area for easy assembly later on.

Next take the plunger assembly apart and wrap a piece of cut down E-tape once around the little nub on the end of the plunger tube.

Then get this piece and cut out the + like shown in the next picture out with some type of blade.

Posted Image

The + cut out.

Posted Image

Then put the piece you just cut the + out of onto the piece you put the E-tape on.

Posted Image

Then move onto the barrel which has more holes in it than swiss cheese.

Posted Image

Wrap where the holes are with E-tape.

Posted Image

If any tape goes over the little lip just cut it off.

Posted Image

Then put the barrel onto the plunger tube like the picture below dEffeminatets.

Posted Image

Wrap the end of the barrel and the plunger tube with E-tape. It doesn't matter if any gets onto the plunger tube.

Posted Image

If you did everything correctly than your plunger tube and barrel assembly should look like this.

Posted Image

Now move onto the plunger rod. You can fill it with epoxy putty or not.

Posted Image

Take the plunger rod apart in this order.

Now get the little piece you took off first and wrap the shit out of it with E-tape.

Posted Image

Then cut the E-tape off at the level of the top of the seal making sure not to cut it.

Posted Image

Now lube up the plunger head and slide it up and down the plunger tube a few times.
Reassemble the plunger rod in the reverse order as dEffeminateted above.
Now here is option 1 for the barrel.
This is muzzle loading and I would not recommend it for tight darts.
Wrap your desired length of barrel material with E-tape at the end and about two inches up from the bottom. Wrap it until it fits tightly in your stock barrel.

Posted Image

Now shove the new barrel into the old barrel.

Posted Image

Here is option two for the barrel.
This is a CPVC coupler for rear loading. This is recommended for tighter darts.

Get a CPVC coupler on anything that CPVC fits into.

Posted Image

Then sand the largest part so it will fit in the end of the existing barrel. (not pictured)
After that is done wrap the tip of your cut down coupler to limit play in the barrel and shove it E- tape first into the end of the old barrel. Or wrap one end of your full coupler and insert the wrapped end first into the end of the old barrel. Put your desired length of CPVC into the coupler and go shoot someone.

I haven't measured ranges yet but the darts slam into my parent's wall 35' away from where I shoot.

Nice write-up. It would be nice to know actual ranges, but smacking the wall at 35 ft sounds pretty good.
