Zombie Tag Nerf

One zombie is carrying a ball or object that is the "antidote." One Runner zombie, every other zombie, including the ball carrier can only go as fast as they can walk (power-walking is pushing it). Once however within jumping distance, zombies can lunge (never really encountered too much of a problem but is subject to change after we play some more maybe). We also tried to enforce spreading of the zombies, like limit it to 3 people to a group so human(s) would not have to deal with a huge cluster @#$% of zombies at once just to get the antidote.
1 Human = 1 pistol/maverick (we were using a dart tag hyper fire or the single shot one, but we are going to test out a maverick next time for 1 human) with 3-4 darts depending on the amount of zombies (4-5)
2 Humans= 2 pistols (nite finders, dt pistols or any single shot pistol that's not overkill) with 2-3 darts per person. Zombies (5+)
-Humans may run.
-No barrel tapping.
-Darts are reusuable, zombies are not allowed to pick up the darts.
-Once a zombie is hit, they are "stunned" and must count to 5 Mississippi out loud.
-*Runner zombie is an exception, and must count 10 Mississippi out loud. (We had an incidence where the runner was the fastest guy in our group, and pretty much no way for humans to escape once they encountered him.)
-Once the ball carrier zombie is hit, he must drop the ball while counting out loud, no zombies may pick the ball up after it has been dropped.
-Once humans pick up the ball, they must return it to a "safe location" or objective area.
-Zombies give human(s) 2 minutes to go hide/coordinate attack/get situated before moving out of the safe room and searching for the humans (perhaps can be switched around, but might have issue with zombies camping the start location if they are allowed to move out.)
-Cell phones are allowed to contact each other (at least in the place we were playing, its 3 stories tall, 3 stairwells and 1 elevator in the middle. Shaped like a big U or [ ).
-Zombies may not enter/camp the safe room after they have started moving out. Humans may only enter the safe room once they have retrieved the ball/antidote item.
That's all I have right now, hope you guys like the idea, and maybe try it out sometime if you can get enough people!
Comments, questions? Also feel free to change rules if you guys try it out and post here on how it goes, thanks!
maybe i can get my wussy 12-year-old followers into nerfing shape. they preformed poorly at armageddon, the only good move i saw by any of them was when my brothers friend (about 11, kind of tall for his age, asian, short hair) shot VACC (when almost everyone was watching). There were only three people left in the game and VACC had just capped off the other kid, pistol style.

Actually sounds pretty awesome! to bad i dont trust my friends with my guns,so wait only pistols are allowed during play? so if the game has up to 20-25 do u allow bigger guns? Recon, magstrike, etc? but all an all sounds very cool!
you need some hidey holes for zombies!
Haha, it's really all up to what everyone agrees on for the guns, last night we tried it again, but we only had about 6 players, and one of my friends didn't want to play unless we got one more to make it 2 humans, and so one of my friends went and got his roommates, we were only expecting one or two, he brought back 5, so we had 11 people. We then brought out another Nite Finder and made it 3 humans with 2 darts each.
The reason why we don't use magstrikes and everything is because first off, there's only one running zombie, and then there is the 5 Missippi (10 for runner) freeze time which allows us to basically walk around them if we are playing smart. I managed to take on just a regular and the Runner by myself when I was cornered because I had already shot the regular zombie before, so I shot the runner first (she made it obvious as she got closer) and then shot the regular, picked up my darts and ran past them. Also, with 2-3 humans, if one has say a firefly, we are going to limit the shots based on how many people are playing, and with 8 barrels, we aren't going to fill out the gun, single shots are probably more reliable too and give the zombies a chance to hit you.
Another example was when my friend and I were being chased by the runner, we shot him cause we were exhausted, and by the time he got to 8 mississippi, we were both thinking in our heads who should shoot first, then he yelled 10! and we both fired but he dropped to the floor when we both shot, and he got both of us, so certain things like that give the zombies some chance to get the humans.
Also with magstrikes and fireflies, the humans will have to be more careful conserving ammo.
By the way, with 11 people, 3 humans and 8 zombies, the zombies were able to hold almost all the door entrances to the stairwells and while we were being chased by the runner, we had to constantly check each door carefully before bolting up the stairs, it was ridiculously fun, I think next time we might have about 15 people so I'll see how we organize that gathering hahaha
