I've seen a couple gunblades on Nerfhaven, but I feel hot gluing a foam sword on a gun should not count. I happen to be a huge fan of the Doubleshot, but feel it needs to be more fierce so I did this.
All I did was cut a blade out of wood, shaved down the left part of the front grip. After I screwed it all together I Dremeled The front half to look sharp, and the bottom half to me more serrated. Sorry if the pictures are poor.

Wood seems a somewhat dangerous materials choice... I wouldn't let this near my war, running around in close quarters, ect. The effect is good, I'd just go with something a bit more people-friendly.

Other than that, good call. I've got a "bladed" doubleshot myself. The way the gun feels in your hand just seems to lend itself to being a melee weapon as well. Have you considered weighting the back to restore some balance? Pack some modeling clay into the butt of the stock. Just a thought.

I thought wood might be a bad idea, but I let my friend hit me full force and it really does not hurt. plus i rarely get that close. I like the clay idea though.

So, the entire concept of this hobby has escaped you? If you want to make a display piece out of this, I understand, but don't advocate hitting other people with it.

Yeah, I see what you mean, and i guess it kind of had.

I'll make it clear. I, in no way intend to swing, thrust or wave this at anybody. This is decrative, there is pipe insulation foam around it now just in case.

Not to mention why did you feel the need to start a whole thread to show off the fact that you glued a piece of wood to a shitty gun? I could make a thread showing off how I glued a gay porn magazine to the side of my scout and it would just about as useful as this thread. You didn't even paint it or give any instruction on how you did it. I'm not sure what went through your head to make you think this was okay, but please don't share it because it might be contagious.
