I replaced my Firefly's barrels with CPVC but when I try to fire it, the darts won't come out. The plunger will slam against the end of the tube but the dart doesn't come out. Can anyone help me here?

As a first guess, I'd say that since your plunger is moving quick enough to "slam against the end of the tube but the dart doesn't come out" that your problem is a poor seal between the plunger and the turret. If the darts aren't moving, but the plunger is, that air is going somewhere.

Did you put the spring and the small sealing cylinder back into the front of the plunger tube area when you put it back together? If so, you might need a stronger spring there to keep a seal due the the increased pressure of the CPVC on your darts. Also, if your CPVC is really tight on your darts, that could also be part of the problem (i.e. if you have to twist them a lot to get them in).

Another possible issue is the plunger head itself - if the seal provided by the O-ring is not very good, you could be losing a lot of air that way.

Check your plunger seal. Check your turret seal. If your darts are tight in CPVC drill them out with a 1/2" spade bit.

The yellow balls are also slightly smaller in diameter than the green ones.

Try resizing you pictures. The solution is simple, the firefly isn't powerful enough for CPVC barrels. The dart fit is too tight and the gun doesn't put out enough pressure. Improving the seal and a new or extra spring would help. Or you could try another barrel material. I had one once, I put brass in it and I think a nitefinder spring, but I don't remember. I do remember it helping a bit, but didn't make the gun worth keeping, obviously.

Update: I tested the seal and it turns out that there's some leakage around the barrels. Thanks for the help guys.

The stock turret seal is not at all perfect. The problem is more likely caused by the barrel material being too tight. Fixing the seal wont hurt, but that alone wont necessarily fix your issue if that's the case.

Before posting this, I added a Tek 6 spring to the plunger tube. Of course, I had to cut both springs down to ensure that I could pull the plunger all the way back.

You still need to resize your pictures.

On a constructive note, I'd also advise the following for better sealing:

1. Replace the spring in the nozzle, the assembly between the plunger tube and the cylinder.

2. Add one or two #6 or #8 washers to the front of the cylinder between it and the orange bar that holds it in place and thread the center rod through them.

3. The above will add a lot of friction to the rotation, so glue the slip joint together.

4. Because the trigger's forward action also advances the cylinder, you'll need to augment the trigger return spring.

But first, resize your pics. :P
