Recently, with pictures floating around of what could be upcoming guns, inevitably there has been a ton of topics about these guns, normally just informing the community, but soon turn into speculation. I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty fun, these speculation threads.
However, after a few hours/days of being up, they always get closed, or in the latest case, totally deleted.
So involving these closings and deletions, I have a few QUESTIONS. NOT SUGGESTIONS. Don't flame and say that these'll never be allowed or some bullshit, because I'm not asking for them to stay up.
Are these topics closed because they have to be due to copyright issues or just because the admins feel like it?
If it's a yes, is anyone affiliated with Nerf telling the administrators to do this?
Thanks. This is just out of pure curiosity.

They're are being closed because Hasbro have asked the admins to remove all the images. They are confidential (or should be), and we should respect the people who make our blasters. Even if we do molest the hell out of them...

Brit, that was a win. And it seems to me that Brit is right, lots of companies keep their stuff secret and try to stop leaks before they happen, which doesn't always work.

I think it depends, really. There was a thread on HQ that was actually closed due to copyright infringement, since it was a copyrighted picture from Hasbro. However, I think that the more recent ones on the haven have been closed simply because they turn retarded and focused on dumb speculation. I think the threads should just have an OP and be locked right then and there, since then you can just look at it for a while and wait until it comes out.
My two cents.
