I no longer have the gun (traded it for a longshot) but the mod was extremely easy. I just ripped out anything non-essential to the air tank and firing systems and hot-glued a hollowed out crayola marker over the release valve. The longest ranges I achieved with it were approximately 200' at a 45 degree angle and 85' from the shoulder with 3 pumps using regular streamlines. I haven't seen this anywhere else on the forum so I thought I'd add it. I'll put pics up if i get a new AT3k.

You singled a 3k?!?!?!?!?! When modified properly, these things can get about 120ish feet flat with the turret. If you get another one, I think it would be in your best interest to keep the turret.

In my defense, i got a two-pack at wal-mart for $5 & the turret advancer on one of them cracked and stopped working after a while, so i just singled it. It creates a tighter seal, which in turn (should) yield greater range, so why not?

crayola barrel: 5 inches.
PETG barrel: 12 inches.
More air is used efficiently to push the dart forward.

You get better ROF with the turret and if you do Ryan's overhaul correctly you'll still get a great seal.

Agreed, but i didn't have the materials and since no one else close to where I live that I know of is a Nerf fan, why bother? I had at least 5 times the range of anyone I Nerfed with, and any other advantages would have been just plain unfair. That thing also hurt like a mother f*cker.

I am going to have to call on your range of 200 until I see some proof.

He said that was angled; it's not too hard to believe.

Why? Even if you had a broken turret, you could still hopper clip it.
