With all these BBB posts coming up I decided that I would try modding mine also.

I removed the ARs, sawed off the existing orange BBB Barrel to approx 1/2" long and hot glued a CPVC coupler on to it, put a NF spring inside the BBB spring, E-taped around the seam on the front part where the AR once sat to reduce air loss.

I have a 6" PVC Barrel in the CPVC Coupler, to prevent the dart from swirling around inside the PVC Barrel or falling back in to the chamber I have part of a Tampon Applicator (no Crayola markers were handy, so I got inventive), this seems to have a good snug fit with the stock darts I'm using.

I tried this with Sonic Micros, Sonic Micros with hot glue in the end, Streamline Micros with an Airsoft BB in the tip, Streamline Micros with hot glue in the end and Suction Micros.

The issue is that my distances really haven't changed at all, the Super-glued Sonic Micros are getting the best range but sometimes they fly off wildly or go in different directions.

Suggestions? Anything I did wrong with my mod in the first place?

Unless the foam of your darts makes a tight fit in the PVC, you won't get great ranges. You want a snug fit for spring guns, so the tip must remain out of the barrel, unless the dart is a streamline. A pic of your setup (without the tampon) would be of help.

Keep in mind that most people tend to over-estimate the range on their BBB, at least they used to.

My first guess is that your darts aren't heavy enough for the increased force. I've never been able to get stock darts to match Stephans for range or accuracy in any gun with real power.

Obviously check all your seals, make sure the hot glue didn't pop off or crack anywhere.

As for the Tampon Applicator, man I hope that was new and not used.

Does the tampon applicator only hold the dart snug at the back of the barrel? If the dart isn't snug all the way out the friction won't allow the pressure to build as the spring expands (where as an air-tank gun pretty much is at full pressure as soon as the valve opens). You could be losing a lot of air pressure in the barrel once the dart comes out of the tampon applicator.

You have a tampon on your gun. There's your problem.

The yellow balls are also slightly smaller in diameter than the green ones.

It was a new super, the inner tube on it has a good snug for all the darts. The suction and micros have a snug fit and are about the same length as the foam part on the darts. Streamlines sink in a bit but still have a good fit.

It does just hold it in at the back of the barrel, at which point it goes into the standard PVC ID. Before I trimmed the barrel I was just using the applicator to put the darts in with no other barrel for them to travel through, I think we just found the problem, so basically until I start using Stefans or find a barrel that fits my darts snug all the way through I will have this type of issue. I'll check my seals again and keep looking around for FBR to make Stefans.

(Tried to post an img but received an error, above is a picture of a streamline all the way down the barrel. Sonics and Micros have an even better fit)

That looks to be about right fit, how much twisting did it take to get them in place? You might just need longer barrels. Often times, high power guns need longer barrels for the air to decompress. Also, yes, you need to make stefans.

Edit: I may not have been clear, when I said you need a longer barrel, I meant just go buy some CPVC, and cut a 6-8 inch barrel.

I see you are channeling 4chan

You said your darts are flailing of course wildly; this is usually due to a lack of weight on the front of the tip coupled with high speed. At least, that's what happened to my gun.

Whenever I'm bored, I go onto NerfHaven and start reading the closed threads with a last post by VACC.
