What units are you guys measuring with this? I was trying to modify my longshot to work as a breech (using only PVC, I can't get my hands on brass tubing,) and it wouldn't fit through the tubing that has the plunger in it that pushes the air into the barrel. The hole was too small. So I was curious as to what units you are measuring the PVC diameter in, because I want to find the right materials.

Any other help, concerning the longshot, would be greatly appreciated.

1/2" PVC Pipe has an outer diameter of .844".
1/2" PVC Tube has an inner diameter of .5"

PVC tubing varies widley when it comes to internal diameter. But as a rule of thumb, the outside diameter of 1/2 inch PVC is approxamatly 3/4 inch; the inside is generally 3/5 of an inch.

Can someone fill in what the width of the tubing itself is? That would be greatly appreciated.

Uh, .344" according to Zorn's measurements.

Where the hell did you see 3.44? Probably a typo...

First we need to know what size tubing it is. It's really not that hard, for example:
1/2" pvc= OD: .844"
3/4" pvc= ID: .75"
Therefore 1/2" pvc will not fit inside 3/4" pvc and so on and so forth.

balls, in three different colors. I don't remember the exact number, but I'm sure Ryan or Zorn does.

It would be important to specify/figure out whether you're talking about PVC pipe or tubing.

Then what exactly is the difference between piping and tubing?

Untrained nerfer is correct. These are things you can find by doing a little of your own research. Such an investigative exercise would benefit you in your stay here.
