i bought a belt blaster and wondered why there arent to many mods online for it, and that's why I am rebarreling it to shoot much further than normal.

btw, READ ALL OF THIS BEFORE POSTING A COMMENT

For this mod you need:
-belt blaster
-barrel material that will fit your darts, I used 1/2 inch cpvc after i did this post
-thin wall 1/2 inch pvc sch. 20 i think?
-hot glue
-extra springs if wanted
-screw driver, hammer, hot glue gun, E tape
-fingers would be helpful



first, unscrew your gun, duh
and like always, there is a hidden screw under the pump, and another thing, the pump doesn't come off the rest of the shell so don't act like me and try to rip it off


before we proceed, take these pieces out, we don't need/want them


grab the plunger and start by putting a screw driver in the top of it


and hammer out this piece, this is just one option but you can do something else to get it out


now take the spring off of it


glue your barrel to the plunger


i put foam on the end of the plunger from the darts we will no longer be using


notice that the original barrel that the darts traveled through holds 1/2 inch pvc really well, so you can put E tape on it to give it a nice fit and do the same for the cpvc or whatever you are using so it fits in the pvc
then put everything back together and if done correctly, it should look like this...


cut the barrels to fit if you havent done so yet

the stock ranges were:
flat
21'
16'
28'
19'
16'
angled
30'
32'
35'
37'
29'

the ranges now are:
flat
40'
45'
43'
49'
41'
angled
79'
81'
88'
85'
80'

average:
before
-flat=20'
-angled=33'

after
-flat=44'
-angled=83'


it performs nicely and if you want, you can put a breech or a coupler in the the spot the belts went in



my friends dont like it so i have no use for it

Looks like a good mod, but I believe that it could be modded further than this. Second thing I have to say is make your pictures smaller. Seriously, someone could easily miss something because of your huge pictures.

I don't agree with this mod, because you are taking something with a great RoF and decreasing it immensely. I like your idea, but on this gun, you can simply add a spring, remove the ARs on the shells, and make the hole in the plunger tube a bit bigger (like you did) and keep the belt, and have a fine balance between RoF and range. In my opinion, extremities are no good.

Thats just my two cents on this mod. Other than that, good job on the writeup, but next time adjust the pics.

Oh my god, you just killed the only good part about this gun. You know I get those same ranges out of the box? I love my belt blaster, it destroys all in indoor wars. You just turned a $20 gun into an oversized rifle with the power of a nitefinder... You could've had 2 nitefinders. And everyone knows copper is a terrible barrel replacement.

Yeah, singling the belt blaster is kind of pointless unless you're going to replace the plunger tube with something like a longshot's or an air tank.

On the upside, if you kept the guts, you can freeze off hot glue and reverse this. If you do just want a single shot gun with the style of the Belt Blaster, you should at least use a coupler. You missed an easy opportunity to make a slide breech there.

OMG I think everyone who destroys a perfectly good belt-blaster, just to single it, is crazy (I wanted to say:"deserves a lobotomie" But that a little rude), I mean you could have breeched a NF and get the same ranges................so why destroying the best function of a blaster?

Side Note: If you buy a blaster, destroy it like that, and want to make a write-up, you buy a decent camera, with a macro function.
And take some good, sharp and smaller pictures, that fit in the normal browser width (<= this rule should be in the COC........)

Wow. Not only did you single it, but you used 1/2 copper as a barrel material. Then you said you used cpvc, and how long did you make it? If you made it the same length, major dead space. And I don't think you know that really does not improve your range. And I can make one with more range and still have the belt. This mod is like making a singled LS and the boltsled is still good.

Man, you guys are like a broken record. I don't think singling it is all that bad.

@Rylan: It's a good idea, but you could probably make it better. I would add a stronger spring, and create a better seal. I have never owned this gun before, but I'm sure both of those things would greatly improve the range. Other than that, good job. You took an idea, and made it real.
