I'm looking for a camera that you would be able to either mount on top or beneath my gun. It would also be able to be easily transfered on to my computer for editing. Also the lowest price would be best. I've already checked out Angel's glasses cam but that is a little much. Any links or thougths would be helpful.

The Sony HD Bloggie is small and works great, and the lens can flip in any direction. Should work well.

dim3 has a nice writeup for an iPod Nano mount. The picture quality is quite good, and it is extremely small. Granted, an iPod Nano is not a dedicated video device, but a friend of yours may have one that you can borrow for the day.

I was looking for something a bit cheaper and possibly smaller.

You could probably pick up a digital camera with recording capabilities for that much. My mom's cost $60, and the quality isn't too bad.

True, but a camcorder could break just as easily, and it costs more. If you're willing to give up quality for price, a digital camera would work the best.

Cool, just remember Radio Shacks prices are going to be a little bit higher than places like Wal-Mart and Target.

Don't use a nano, recording stuff takes up a huge amount of battery life. I took a 15 second video of my grandparents bird and it took up about 1/7 of the battery.

I think there are first Generation Flip Videos for around 60 or 70 bucks. Look at Bestbuy.com

From my experience, gun mounted cameras are useless. They are way to shaky, your gun never looks where you look, and the high shake from running makes kids cry. Also, no protection. If you want to record wars, get a camera person. Unless, you want to be in it of course, then, do what I did. Get to lowes, get a screw that fits in you camera hole, a matching nut and a dirt bike helmet from another store. Drill a small hole in the top of the helmet, put the screw through, put the nut on, and you now have a helmet cam that works with any camera. give it protection, edit the video, add random music, and you're able to upload to your favorite site.
Have fun.

This statement is false. We tied Ice9's digital camera to the bottom of his +bow with flagging tape for a CTF round and it worked fantastically. Never once got shot anywhere near the camera.
This right here proves it

I mounted my camera on top of giygas. Still, your head naturally tuns close to where your eyes do, natually tries to keep itself level, and normally sees the action. In the usual 3-15 rules, you have to keep your gun pointed up when you get hit. Ban headshots, and you won't need protection for the camera, although recommended. It is also alot easier to put on a helmet than make all guns camera compatible.

For lowest cost get one of these and mod it to work on a N-strike rail.

Link to auction.
Here's a picture of the camera type

(For anyone whos not a mod concerned with that link STFU. Mods' this is a fairly generic listing. There are hundreds like it should everyone in the NIC now want to purchase one.)
Another option. would be to go with the Sunglass cameras. (also available on ebay.) Or one of the many many other cheap digi camcorders.
This is really only going to provide one angle of the game tho. So you really would be best off putting the cam in the hands of a dedicated camera man to go along with any footage your gun cam gets. Its a nice novelty but not a solid way to document a war. To be frank with you most digi camcorders under 70 bucks are shit so there's no sense in spending a lot of money on one.

I use an Effeminate Action Stealth Cam for blaster-mounted POV vids (it came with the protective/waterproof casing, which attributes to some of the video/audio difficulty) and it did alright.

http://www.google.co...lient=firefox-a

My youtube channel's got some vids I took with it, here's one:

Judging by the prices between this and some flip cams mentioned, it looks like 70 or less might not be realistic. Ebay and craigslist might be your friend, and the cam I mentioned is 2 years old from the looks of the listings.

If you opt to go with the Oregon Scientific camera, it know of a couple ways to mount it to your blasters.

and switching SD cards is still easy while it's concealed.

Placing it inside the LS scope does limit it's field of view a bit, and an alternative may be desired.

I will say that it's ability to function in very low light (after sunset, or in a dark arena) is rather poor (That's why I added the trio of IR flashlights). In normal daylight it's fine. Don't expect audio quality to be exceptional. Mine fails to pick-up anything spoken from more than about 25 feet. The sound of a blaster to which it is attached being pumped (in my case, an At3k) causes all audio to turn to static. Additionally, the sound of a xbow being fired causes a sound which can only be described as a sort of cartoon spring being released.

I personally have had luck with a 3.0 MP camera phone once I'm out for the round, if you can chase after people, you can get some nice shots.

It's a nice short term solution at least. It worked at M3.
