Banned: Any blaster that shoots well over 100ft unless slug darts are used with it.

Note:We will have time to trade and sell blasters so bring guns and money if you wish.

I am very likely to be able to go.

So you are basically looking at doing a modding session and then having a nerf war after that session?

If I brought a group they'd only be interested in playing, none of the modding part.

Since I am new here, is there anything in particular I should be reading or know about so I show up knowing what to expect? I have done my homework already and read the thread about traditional nerf wars etiquette and such. I was just wondering if there was anything else like what the age range usually is and such. I ask because If theres gonna be people more around the age of 16-21 (for example), I might not bring my little brother who is 11, you know? But if there is a wide mix then I may. Lemme know, Thanks!


EDIT: Just a side question: whereabouts are you guys all located in relationship to Portland, ME? I am 30 minutes north in Topsham.

The last war had people from 12-15 so its not older aged players. You definatly want a blaster with some range. You shouldn't have much luck with an ar removed recon or the like.

The last war had people from 12-15 so its not all older age but don't bring anyone under 12 they just anoy everyone (unless they are vastly more mature than their age group. As for blaster ranges if it shoots 100ft or under its good (not banned). You definatly want a blaster with some range. You shouldn't have much luck with an ar removed recon or the like.

Yeah I get what you are saying. The only guns I have modded so far for range are my titan (ARs removed) and longshot (ARs removed, painted, shell mod, 50/60 feet; would like to add in stronger spring). I shall have to bring the rest of my guns too to see what creative mods you guys have done that I perhaps may try out with my guns.

I'm a pretty strong maybe. If I can make it, so can Shelby. Clay probably won't make it, but he's told me it's a possibility. I don't want to say I'm a definite, because I've had to bail out of the past two wars I've said I'm a definite for.

Federal law states that it just has to have an orange tip to signify its a toy gun, if that is what you are referring to.

OK, I was not aware of the park rules. I did ask much earlier in this thread If I needed to know anything else because I am new so I am unaware of these rules. I will likely leave it behind then if it is an issue. Thanks

Since this is a new in box war you will be modding your blasters at the war. We will have a few rounds where we can use other blasters at the end, read please.

Fuck, this is an NIB war. I'm not sure Shel and Clay would be able to follow those rules. They aren't modders, and I don't really have the materials.

We will most likley be sharing materials to mod with. (That's what happend last time.)

Also, If someone will be willing to bring a bunch of air gun fit barrel material to share, I'll bring 7 or so feet of CPVC to share for springers.

If you want me to bring a group, it'd be better to have a regular nerf war. Otherwise it would be just me.

Not everyone is interested in modding.

The NIB idea is great, just maybe not this time around.

Why don't we do the best of both worlds? At least one gun you're using must have been modded there. (How long does it take to add a spring to a Nightfinder?) But the other could have been modded at home.

Sound good? That way, if people don't know what they are doing, we could do simple mods for them. However, we could use our equipment that was truly modded at the field.

I know that Tyler wants me to Add a spring to and re-enforce his LS bolt sled.

I like this idea but it does take away from the spirit of the new in box war a bit. I think this should be the plan. If you don't want to attend the mod party portion just show up at 11:30am. If people are opposed to this we can do strait up new in box war or a regular war.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. I'm up for that. You should update the initial post so people see this update when they click on the thread (if it is the consensus of the group).

I have a question, would it be okay for me to use a Mongo Titan if it only has 3/0 wieghted darts?

I want to use a gun with some punch, but the last 3 times I tried modding a BBB it got destroyed almost the next day.

Sorry titians are banned(no bloodshead or death wanted)! I want to pick for sure what this war is going to be(NIB or not or the little of both option) so if all people planning to attend would speak up we can come to a war type as a group.
