I would be taking out the part of the magstrike that makes it an automatic--basically just having a compressor, a tank, a release valve(trigger), connected to a barrel, and (like i posted earlier) only harvest the magstrike for the shell and bladder.

Blasters need a chamber of some kind, with a valve that releases a blast of air much faster than the MS trigger valve could ever hope to. Unless you think you can wield a blaster with a barrel that'll probably have to be more than six feet long, to accelerate a dart from the ridiculously SLOW release of air.

first off, thank you for not being a dick like some people on the internet. so, from my understanding, a ms trigger has a slow release rate, correct? so its simply the ms internals are all made for the use of automatic firing. but, using internals from a single shot pump gun w/ a magstrike bladder(or a bigger one, such as a titan) would work? but thanks again!

No. A bladder system has an inherently slow release. What you're talking about, (and you really could do with being more clear when you ask questions) has been done. As I said in my previous post, people have taken the magstrike bladder and hooked it to a 2k tank, then used the firefly shell and turret to complete the blaster.

ok, isn't that a little easier?? honestly, thats all i needed to hear. sorry, I'm a fifteen yr old kid, I haven't taken mechanic classes or anything, but I learn about mechanisms by hands-on experience. so how is the bladder used with the at2k tank? could you explain in small detail what the difference in bladder/tank of a magstrike to a titan is, please?

and yes, I could've been quite a bit clearer on asking question, so I formally say, I'm Sorry.

A MS bladder can best be thought of as a "Resevoir" of extra air. It has a huge volume, at (possibly) high pressure. It is similar in purpose to hard air tanks made of PVC or aluminum that you see people using. They have a valve that opens slowly.

It's purpose is not to actually fire anything, only to fill another firing mechanism with air. In the case of a MS, it is the MS piston which fills with air. The incoming air presses against the spring-loaded piston, building pressure. Once the piston is pushed back far enough, a valve is opened and all the stored air is shot out very fast, launching the dart.

Therefore, the MS Piston is analogous to an AT2k tank, or even a Titan tank in purpose, though they operate very differently.

Finally, if you want to use both a MS bladder and an AT2k/Titan tank, the MS bladder would serve as a reservoir for the AT2k/Titan tank. You could hook the MS bladder up to inlet of the firing tank (instead of where the pump usually goes in) and have the MS trigger valve between them. With this system, you would pump up the bladder to capacity, open the MS trigger valve (filling the firing tank), close MS trigger valve, open firing tank (firing the dart), and then re-open the MS trigger valve, close, fire, etc until the MS bladder was empty.

This is the basis for several Semi Auto AT2k mods on this site, and even the inspiration for some Semi-Auto titans, though I think in practice, the Titan tank is only able to get about 2 shots off with 40-50 pumps of the MS bladder. Not very useful.

however, if you are going to do the ms bladder-2k setup AND have an air compressor, it would be easier to bypass the bladder altogether. Just remember to add an oprv or something that will limit the pressure inside the bladder and tank when working with air compressors.

Are you fucking kidding me? That's not even a valid excuse. I've seen 13-year olds build a catapult that can hit a target with an accuracy of +/- 5 feet. I've seen 12-year olds make things designed to launch a rocket into the air while holding an egg and float back down safely without breaking it, or cars designed to hit a wall with an egg and not break it. It's not your age that defines you, it's your will. Plus, this is the fucking internet. Everythings out there, you just need to look for it. Everything is based on how much you want to learn and how much you want to sit back and have other people answer your questions for you.

Ahem. Anyway. Cool mod, bro. I like how you took advantage of the air bladders expanding to switch off the compressor.

(No Offense to anybody else on here that's not a dick. you guys rock.) and how am I supposed to learn without asking questions? oops, sorry that's another question. my bad, didn't mean to upset anybody. to be clear, i don't have a ton of time on my hands to work on these things and figure out exactly how each one works. i don't have a lot of money to spend on these things. I only nerf because i live in the city, therefore, no place to airsoft or paintball, and my little brother is only tough enough to play nerf, not airsoft or paintball, also the price of nerf guns to paintball guns and some airsoft rifles are significant. i'm only here to better my nerfing experience with simple gun mods and to have fun. should we go around yelling at kids because they've asked a few questions?

but, anyway, thanks to everyone that has genuinely helped me so far.

I don't know about paintball, but an airsoft pistol = 10 dollars where I live. Which is less than most nerf guns.

I'm not pissed because you asked questions, or asked questions that have already been answered. I'm pissed because you think being 15 is a legitimate excuse.
