I just got the Nerf Firefly and I must say that it is quite a nice blaster, but I still wanted more. I opened it up, took out the air restrictors and pegs, and did the removable turret mod. Now that it is reassembled, it only shoots when fired straight up. I cut off the pegs and added the bases in but it didn't help much. Also I don't have the outer casing of the turret, as that also made no difference. Sometimes it will shoot but usually not. Every time when it is pointed up it shoots perfectly.

Here is a youtube video of the problem:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8CdLeIoVZI

As you can see from the video sometimes it shoots and sometimes not. Any help?

Your turret to plunger seal isnt good. It is probably because you did the removable turret mod.

Yes, its pointless anyway unless you have extra turrets.

I did the same thing, turret2plunger seal= less than garbage. You fucked it up when you chopped up the shell. With no shell depressing the turret, it might as well be a foot away from the plunger tube. I suggest either finding a new shell or using something else to keep the turret depressed. Sadly this restricts the ability to swap clips.

Edit: Screwing it together wont do shit. Try using a zip tie or duck tape to secure the front most orange piece, back. Which will keep the turret depressed.

I still cant fix it completely. Does this happen to everyone who does the swappable turret mod? I can't imagine that the topic would still be up if this kept happening. Anyway, Ill probably be sacrificing it for parts. Thanks for al your help!

Just remember when doing mods to do them EXACTLY like the write-up and even then you are not guaranteed success. Measure twice cut once is an old rule that applies when doing NERF mods. I'm not saying you are bad at modding or anything like that you just didn't do this mod correctly it appears. Happens to all of us. Happy Modding.

Thanks for the advice! I'll try to keep that in mind in the future.
