Can anyone recommend stores or nation-wide chains to check for compression springs? The Home Depot's only carry expansion springs, the Loews near me was forced to close, and the auto-parts shops don't seem to carry anything that small. Suggestions?

I could get you some but I would need sizes. But it would hardly be worth my time for a $1 or $2.00 profit anyway. But tell me what you need.

This may not be of much help, but try looking in your phone book for local hardware stores. The only place near me that sold them turned out to be a small, family owned store that I had never heard of.

Yeah, I've been slowly making my way throughout neighboring towns checking out their small hardware shops. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the offer Uche-Uche but if I have to get one shipped I'll just custom order it off of a website.

Home Depot carries 2 sizes of compression springs, extra fucking large, and extra fucking weak. I checked at 3 stores, Lowes has practicaly the same inventory. Your best best is for bungee cords or extension springs.

i found a wide variety of bad springs at ACE hardware, and OSH hardware. i don't know if either of those are nationwide. they had a lot of compression springs, most a bit too high gauge for mods. i'm still yet to find one that'll work well for an xbow.

I got two compresion springs at home depot, they were short and very strong, and a little wider than a TT spring. I found them in the same department as the expansion springs. They arent all that useful though sense they're too short for rifles, and to strong for pistols, but suprisingly enough i managed to put one in a nightfinder, i didnt do anything to the catch either. They're really good for NFs but not much else.

OSH around here has a great selection, and I believe that's where Cx gets his too. I think that might be just CA, though.
