I have several blasters that use swappable three-shot barrel pods and in wars I have found the biggest factor to be simply having a large number on you and ready to go. This is experimentation into mass production.

Materials: lots of 1/2" cpvc and some 1 1/4" PVC.

Cut here to a foot in length.

Insert all three lenghts into the longer pipe and fill with Great Stuff. Let cure overnight.
Posted Image

Mark your cuts, on this we can get 6 two inch pods.
Posted Image

Result: two perfect pods and 4 where the foam was thin with holes and did not hold a seal.

Next steps: I will experiment with different lengths overall, also I let this one cure by standing it on end and I think that may have caused uneven curing.

Cool beans. You should definitely lay those sideways when you let the Great stuff cure. I've just discovered how cool Great Stuff is, and I will definitely have to try this.

Alternatively, you can buy pre-fabricated PVC distributors from FlexPVC.com. For people who would rather waste money than time, these work great.

This might be workable; nice concept.

Don't make your raw segments any more than an inch or so longer than twice the length of the injection straw on your can of foam. Insert the straw all the way into each gap and then pull it back out while injecting foam. Then repeat from the other end. Definitely keep the assembly horizontal while it cures, in fact roll it to a different position two or three times.

Mod the straw to be longer?

Awesome idea. Can "Great Stuff" be picked up at Home Depot?

Nice, I've seen people make say 5 other shells, but your setup could make a shotgunned blaster a very worthwhile primary, one question though: Have you thought of sandwiching the gaps in craft foam?

Putting stubs of FBR in the barrels prior to using the great stuff would provide you with a full set of useable barrels. It would keep the expanding foam out of the barrels, while allowing you to get even closer to the end.

Numbs: Just dropped a FAT five bills there. Ph3ar.

Bobly: Tits, I will roll the next one. That is sage advice.

Hoff: Great Stuff is the donkey's llama.

Dirty Hippy: yes, but the great stuff pushes it out. Also, with enough barrel pods a shotty blaster is quite handy for the runny jumpy types like myself.

BustaClit: good call. The Stuff is not hard to clean out but that would save me the trouble for sure.

This is great, but the foam part isn't what I would use. Since foam is a extremely porous material, air will escape it somehow. I would fill it with "Great Stuff", and top it off with hotglue, epoxy-putty, or goop.
