I tried Bob's back sealing idea. Seems to be holding up well, but it increases the strength needed to open the valve a LOT.

I don't know if its just the picture, but it looks like you're using a pretty strong spring in your tank. The smaller the coil size is, the higher the spring constant. I'd recommend something much weaker with less coils/inch, wire thickness, and a wider diameter if possible. It only has to press enough to seal for the first pump or two, then the rest of the work is done by the air pressure itself.

And why the threaded coupler?

You'll do a lot better if you spread the lips with the front. Trying to wriggle the back in there first seems a bit counterintuitive.

I used the threaded coupler because it was less bulky than a coupler+bushing. It was also what I had originally planned, but I didn't find the fitting for 1". I'm also looking into weaker springs.

Which solvent do you recommend besides PVC cement then?

Each manufacturer has recommendations for bonding their materials. Any connection you intend to make that will see pressure should be bonded with a recommended bonding agent.

Ive used hotglue to attach barrels to my homemade airguns and they use a valve similar to yours.

CA glue should not be used with cpvc or pvc, it does not bond properly.

I would have PM'd you, but your box is full.

If you are selling these, then how much are you asking?

Since homemade airguns are banned everywhere I did not mess with mine too much... Mine fires by pushing the button but could be altered.
