I was looking at the video of Forever the Sickest Kids and they talked about the new "Camo Ammo". I looked for another discussion about it but didnt find one. So I was curious if anyone knew any additional information about it.

I saw that too though I don't know much about it either. If you did find anything I'd be glad to find out.

To be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid.

Camo ammo sounds cool, but I think my darts are already hard enough to find.

I'd say you'd have to give us a little more information than that if you want to start a topic about something.

I think you should get off your ass and go find + watch the video.

It's probably just normal darts except dark green/black heads and the foam being camo colored. Nothing special.

Only thing I'm interested to see is if it replaces the orange darts. Doubt it, but I'm not too sure.

What I think is they want kids to shoot them and there camo so they'll get lost easier and then the parents of the kids go and buy more.

All they're doing is making darts harder to find so you will buy more. That, and appeal to kids who like to do "tactical missions". Hence the attachments.

You can see a picture at the Nerf Facebook group:

They probably appeal more to office warriors than little kids. It certainly gels with the tactical vests and other realistic accessories.
Will they replace regular darts? Probably not. Other accessories at the Toy Fair included regular orange Streamline Darts, so this will be a specialty item for the time being.

My guess is that they will be like the glow in the dark darts, where the part that is covering the foam is a sticker

I agree with lion.

I don't know if anyone else saw this, but in the video, the darts looked more like stefans. Correct me if I'm wrong please, but thats just my 2 cents.

Perhaps, like the firefly's glow in the dark darts, these may be 'specialty ammo' for that mysterious 9-9-10 project. Who knows? Hopefully the 9-9-10 thing will be better than the FF though...

It's nothing new but colored darts so that 1. you lose them and buy more and 2. they appeal to the tactical obsession every nerfing kid has.

There's already some discussion about this in the product awareness thread, page 174. I'm pretty sure by digital camo they mean the same pattern that's on some of the newer nerf guns, like the Raider or Longstrike. I hoghly doubt Nerf has darts that digitally blend with it's surroundings...although invisible darts would be awsome. :)

Thanks for the tip dkx (although this was started before NPA was at page 174), it looks like it could be interesting having camo darts in all three varieties

Actually, looks to me like they'll be sold in a special 'box' gimmick like the footlocker-style ammo box. Still, camo taggers will make it so a third team can play in Dart Tag. Nothing too cool about it though, as you could probably just spray paint the darts anyways. And they probably won't be a sticker, because if they were, why were the heads black and the area around the hole camo, too? At least that's what I saw in the video. If these things replace orange darts, that'll just SUCK. Nat is right, they're so you loose them and buy more. Just 2 of my many scents.
