92% of teens would cry if Miley Cyrus was about to jump off a building.
If you are part of the 8% who would say "Jump B****, JUMP!!!!" . . .

They are also looking at using a new screw, the one with a octagon on top that needs special screwdrivers.
Ah crap...
I would like to see a return to the older style Nerf guns. These new clip-fed semi realistic (which is no doubt going to get worse) guns are just... Meh. I mean, I like the clips, and to be honest, I think we just need to work on getting more power out of the reverse plunger system, but I think it is getting a bit stale: clip fed, bolt action, reverse plunger in a new shell.
I personally would like to see a new air-powered gun. A real new one, not a re-shelled hornet or crap like that, a NEW nerf gun, I really like the looks of the new tetra strike and the idea of an air powered side-arm, I think it's because you can pump it at the start of the round, holster it, and you have multiple shots when you need them most, with no priming needed.
So, in conclusion, DON'T use the new screws, that just sucks. A smaller air powered side-arm would be nice.
just my... several cents.
You just given me the inspiration to go out, find an unsuspecting person, hood and gag them, then send three thousand volts of electricity directly to their testicles, with a taser.

Also use normal screws, otherwise we as Nerfers are going to get annoyed at having to go out to get more tools to open these up.

I'm calling shenanigans and declaring a troll. The Atom Blaster was patented by a professor at MIT who has no say in what the company does. The only other Atom gun is the slingshot thing, and who would ever try and take credit for that?Hi,and I thought about A friend who is working for nerf, This is the man who invented the nerf ATOM grenade launcher . If you want me to tell him anything about new & better nerf guns that you think may be helpful, I could tell him that. please No things that could make nerf guns dangerous because he works for nerf and they put air restrictors on them for a reason.(i've already tried asking him to get nerf to not use air restrictors.) They are also looking at using a new screw, the one with a octagon on top that needs special screwdrivers.

He says grenade launcher. The only one I can think of that may look like a grenade launcher would be the reactor. Split, give the guy a break. How does that little pistol that you are talking about resemble a grenade launcher?Yep. Split's right. Are you sure you weren't talking about the reactor?

I think this guy really isn't bullshitting us and isn't a troll. He seems to be a noob to Nerf who had a stock Maverick or Nitefinder sitting around and then met this guy.
This guy might've come up with the Reactor. the above ^ might explain him calling it the ATOM Blaster. When I started nerf, I didn't know a Supermaxx from an AirTech or a Wildfire from a Powerclip. So he might be wrong there.
The only reason I don't think he's a troll is the Torx/octagonal screw idea. This really is a feasible concept for Nerf, as it could cut down on modders. Significantly. If this is in Nerf's plans or not, god knows, but at least it's possible.
So let's not call troll and let this dude explain.
alphanerf, explain your ass.
... to be able to get a better burst or sustained fire, rather than blowing the whole load at once.

I completely agree that he is not a troll but he must be a newb.Ok. So here's my explanation.

I am eternally wary of "official" nerf news unless it comes straight from Hasbro by way of a press release or from someone who has demonstrated a relationship in the past, such as OMC, Talio, etc.
Nerf has tried variant screws in the past, as well as just gluing their blaster shells together. I think they recognize that if they can make it, we can unmake it and change it. Therefore I predict that they will stay with the cheaper phillips head screws we have been seeing of late.

I think the only screws they could put in that would possibly be a problem are those one-way screws. You can find bits/drivers for everything else at your local hardware or electronics store. And as Wikipedia just told me, it looks like there's a few ways around one-ways too. I wouldn't worry about it, even if it is true.

As Vacc said, if he can't follow the rules, it's kind of irrelevant.

But, think of the electric eel, it has triangle screws and there isn't even an internal picture of it. I think these new screws will greatly cut down on the number of modders.

1, We've all put in our two cents on his sketchy topic and if he were/is a troll he got what he wanted.
2, This guy acctually has connections in Nerf/Hasbro and just hasn't been here recently ( If so further explanation is in order)
OR 3, this guy is an idiot and believes every thing he's told and then becomes a megaphone for said stupidity/lies.
