I am new to nerf haven and i need some cool ideas on nerf war because i am hosting one this summer. I already have some great (insane) cool (insane) ideas.
1. Launch one of those model rocket payloaders to have it drop darts like the ones in the hammerhead in nerf n-strike elite game, so you can have a mass scatter weapon

2.make a wooden base that isnt permanatly held togeter, it will have slots that will fit over another,so if you dont like your base it can be changed.

3. when you make stepans that dont work put them aside and build a custom nerf homemade that can shoot them.

those are all of my ideas that have not already been invented, but i need more.please help.

Is this the first nerf war you've tried to organize? If so, just try to throw a regular nerf war. Worry about strange (OMG 1N5AN3!!!!11!) ideas after you've figured the normal stuff out. Finding a suitable venue, getting a decent turnout, balancing teams, regulating equipment, setting rules, and pacing the day are all things that usually take a try or two to get right. Once you got all that down, experimenting with new mechanics is a lot easier to pull off.

Personally, I have small 4-10 people wars daily, and I'm hosting my first nic war (that might get replies). I've found that it's best to build cover and guns before the war. You want to nerf, not build forts. Get some 1' pvc, get some elbow and t joints, and go to the dollar store and get some table clothes or cardboard. With that, you can build cover quickly, and everyone can change where they want the walls. Altenatively, you could just use boxes, which seems more threatening when some one crashes into the box fort. If you dont want to pay anything, use a park that the locals dont normally use, like a tennis court section, or soccer field. Good luck to you.

Have we not discussed this enough and have enough resources? Didn't Spoon write an article about this years ago? Anyway, go to a damn nerf war first and see how it's done. I had been to maybe three of them before I hosted my own and it was successful. It's not rocket science.

Thanks guys, but I have already done several nerf wars. I have tried to make that wooden "base" but i just decided it was hopeless and built a tree house. And i'm scrapping the rocket mass scatter weapon. Now i'm using the rocket for a model rocket launch to raise money for nerf items. So my money was'nt wasted.

My advice:
1. Go to a few NIC wars and learn from them.
2. Look at other NIC war topics, and see how they organize there wars.
3. Talk to others that have hosted wars and gone to them, and ask them any questions you have about wars and organizing them.

Thank god ultimate nerf here decided to hit the reply button. I mean seriously. How else would that informatioin that has already been stated in this thread even get through to him?
