Yeah i bout a PC clip on ebay and the douche selling it wasnt satisfied with the $20.61 i paid for it so he refused to send it. Thank God my mom's a lawyer b/c we sued for my money back, and there is an investigation so he'l be arrested for fraud.

I made this thread so i can tell others there is hope if this happens to you

My bullshit sense is tingling.

Besides, no sane lawyer will do anything over a $20 loss since they bill that much for a 5 minute phone call.

And it was probably less of a lawsuit and more of a verbal threat, I imagine. Lawyers like that stuff.

As a law student I know that a lot of lawer do work "pro bono" in other words they work for free. If his mom really is a lawyer I don't find it unreasonable that she would take on such a simple case for her kid. Likewise this could be only the tip of the iceberg, the seller could have a history of ripping people off on Ebay, and thus warrant a criminal fraud investigation. Such an investigation could be conducted by police or more likely the Feds. One further note on our legal system is that most cases never see trial. Most settle before a claim is even filed with the court.

I assume once LoneFox's mom-lawyer filed the suit the seller turned around and gave the money back right quick.
