My sister got a maverick and the thing we noticed right away is the range is junk so i removed the ARs for her, but now some darts don't even leave the barrel so what should i do, re barrel or throw it out or are other changes needed

Thx

Put the bottom of the ar's back in, that is your only option.

Most people don't use anything near that thick, so I am curious as to what you are up to? I'd offer to sell you some, but alas... I used all that I had when I upgraded the bullet proof glass on my pope-mobile.

I have a similar problem; after taking out all that junk and drillng out the pegs, a couple darts fire weakly, which is the exact opposite of what an AR removal should do.

First things first, is this the first maverick that you have opened up? Have you actually looked at write-ups on how to modify a maverick. Did you take out the whole entire AR plate,or did you cut it out, and put it back correctly. If this isn't your first maverick, and you have done an AR removal before successfully, then the only thing I can think of is a bad turret seal.

What's with all of these bad responses...

I'm assuming that when you said that you removed the ARs out of the Maverick's turret, you simply took all of the pieces when you opened it up right?

The AR discs (not the pronged pieces with springs) help the seal of the barrel chambers. Without them, you can shoot darts that can go down the barrel all the way--likely, only stefans or terribly squished stock darts.

If you put the discs back in, you can fire stock darts with the small range improvement that removing the other pieces (pronged pieces and springs). Another good step would finding a way to drill out / cut out the inside of the disc, but leaving enough so the stock dart doesn't get stuck too far back.

Basically, leave the discs in there if you want to shoot stock darts. Your Maverick isn't broken or anything.

I personally think that any mod to the turret helps little to none and isn't even worth the effort. the best thing you can do is a roulette mod and a new spring. But then your cocking pin will break real quick so you might as well replace that with a bolt. Or you best option would be to get your hands on a better gun, because the maverick is only fun, not practical.

The Maverick is only good for indoor battles, and I recommend leaving the turret alone unless you really know what you're doing.

If all you do is indoor battles, I highly recommend the Belt Blaster. This thing shoots 40 feet as fast as you can pump it, unmodded. Anyone with mavericks stand no chance.
