WOW! Some of those are kool! (& I thought we had a lot of guns!)

I like the idea of the tubing too!

I just put aquarium airline tubing over the hooks....worked great!
Thank you so much for the idea!

:D

Ohhh. We just had to rip out large chunks of wall in the basement due to plumbing emergency... Pegboards going in.

I think I might use your hook system for it. Thank you.

Since you used 1" PVC and they sell conduit sch.40 1" PVC I would suggest using that because it is cheaper and would cut down the cost of materials a bit.

Those look pretty cool. I used command hooks on the wall by my bed for my NF and Mavericks. (which proved very useful for pegging one of my roommates from across the room...I think I spawned a nerf revolution on my dorm last year.)

jkool, I am considering making one of these and I was wondering.

Since the weight of all the guns on a PVC frame like that must be pretty heavy, how did you make/weight the base to prevent it from tipping over?

So, you mount the guns with coat hangers? is taking guns off and putting them on a problem?

How in the hell could that be a problem? I mean seriously if you would have troubles with taking a gun off a coat wire hook then hell you should probably use a teething ring instead.

Well, the rack is 2 pieces on the side & has little pieces to stabilize it on the bottom. Hard to explain....see if this pic helps.

In fact, I just glued it with PVC cement today! I had it just fitted with no glue & it held up fine! But it is a lot sturdier now. I did not glue it all together....just certain parts so I could take it apart to move it easier.

Might I suggest using eyelets on the guns, rather that attaching the hooks to them in places? They could be under the handle, where they'd be unable to affect usage, or on top of the barrel, where it could double as a functionally useless iron sight. Unless I'm misreading this, the hooks are hooked on to the guns in holes already on them; this seems like a great way to either scratch your blasters (which could be solved with vinyl tubing but wouldn't address the second problem) or have blasters slip off the rack (like the Longshots in that pic look like they're about to).

Good job sir. This is beautiful.

According to your mom, size matters. My blaster is four feet long. What about yours?

I measured mine and I got about 11 inches.

Do you mean drill into the gun & place a grommet in the hole? Pretty slick idea!

As far as the Longshots falling off....they wont, I put them on then locked the stock closed short. They arent going anywhere! :)

That is so beautiful. The Red recon and longshot only add to the beauty!

I only have an old wooden rack for my guns.

Thanks...if you look close at the updated rack pics on page 2, you can see my red vulcan too. Her handle is peeking out on the bottom between the blue longshot & the longstrike, :)
