This is my brass breech. I didn't have enough brass for an angel, so here's what I got. (I'm repeating the text that is in the picture)

This uses 1/2" brass nested into the bolt and secured with epoxy and goop. Inside of that, I wedged a piece of 1/2" to act as a dart tooth. This was done to prevent jams when loading darts into the firing barrel. I don't have the length of the 1/2" brass but it sticks out about 3/4" from the stock bolt (not quite half way on a clip). A cut down pen cap was used to secure the tooth and keep it secure. (The pen was the uni-ball vision line)

The firing barrel is 17/32" brass with tightening rings and is 9" in length. I've coned out the barrel slightly to act as a guide if the bolt is slightly off.

This is air tight and once I actually put in a [k26] + LS spring combo, it's breaking cardboard.

Ranges: Averaged 85ft with single BB stefans

The chances of one person taking a bomb on a plane are one in a million. The chances of two people taking a bomb on a plane are one in a trillion. So if you're scared of a terrorist attack, bring a bomb on a plane.

This is a really good idea. I'm pretty sure the angel breech uses 9/16, I like how this uses 17/32 mainly because thats the size of brass I use as my main barrel. And its perfectly air tight because the 1/2 makes a seal with the 17/32 right?
And this is alot less brass.
Nice write up too!

@JATDO: Yes, 1/2" to 17/32" makes an air tight seal. I used the smaller size since that's what fits my darts.

@nerfknack & magnesium22: Have a duel, winner gets the LS and brass.

Did you have to sand down the inside of the stock breach? I am suprised it jsut fit in there.

You know that can make an angel breech with 17/32, right? Just size down all the brass.

The yellow balls are also slightly smaller in diameter than the green ones.

@canuck: Sorry, I don't remember. If there was sanding, it was minimal, but I believe 1/2" brass will fit well once the AR is removed.

@Hi Yah!: I've seen a couple posts/videos where people made an 17/32" Angel breech, though I can't remember who.

@HOTH: Thanks!

I believe Coop has made several 17/32 angel breeches.

Nice breech. Very clean. I like the pen cap idea.

What would be the point? This has the same end result but uses way less brass.

Great Idea.
