I'll get straight to the point. Whenever the shell is closed, I have to pump it really fast to keep pressure in. Otherwise, it just escapes out the barrel. If the shell is open, it pumps perfectly fine. I've tried spraying silicone spray in it and no luck.

Your trigger is too far back while in the resting position. It's holding the valve open even when the trigger isn't depressed.
