I use stock tagger darts (stefans are banned in my league) and I'm not sure what material to use for my At3k barrels. Since it's air powered I know it should be something loose, but the only loose material that fits taggers is sch40 and that stuff is way too big to fit six barrels on the At3k rotating mechanism. Should I instead use a tighter barrel such as cpvc or crayolas and sacrifice range? Any suggestions?

btw I have searched this site and seen what others have done, but most people here use stefans which clearly dont have the huge head of a tagger.

Have you actually used Crayola barrels before? Their fit is not that tight on darts.

By "sch40" are you referring to 1/2" PVC? Also, there aren't any barrels that will fit Tagger darts properly because stock darts (except Streamlines) all have a head bigger than the main body. If you stick the dart in PVC so that its head just fits inside, then you're just losing air pressure since the main body inside has space around it while inside the PVC like that (technically the air around it will push against the head, but not as efficiently).

If you use Crayola barrels, they should fit in the stock turret I believe, there's a writeup for that. CPVC wouldn't be a bad choice either, since you can use both taggers and stefans with it.

Yeah my problem is that I'm forced to use stock darts.

Yes, I mean Schedule 40 1/2" PVC. Its not ideal because of the space around the dart's body but it's the only material that an entire stock dart can actually slide through. It works well with the titan but only because of the ridiculous amount of air the titan holds.

I guess I'll be using either crayolas or cpvc. Brass or PETG would probably work better but those are expensive or hard to find, respectively.

If you're only using stock darts, I wouldn't recommend brass or PETG anyways; though they are smooth and perform well, the point is you shouldn't be looking around for barrel material for Tagger darts to entirely slide through, seeing as stock darts are not a uniform diameter with the large head piece. Go with Crayola or CPVC because they will be a snug fit, so your darts won't fall out while moving the blaster around.

The only thing left to decide is choosing between Crayola and CPVC. Crayola / RoseArt markers are easy to get and fit very well, but are fairly short (then again, you're using Taggers so that won't affect you too much). CPVC fits tighter (so depending where you get it from, may or may not fit too tightly) but that means the fit is more secure, no air is wasted, and since it's CPVC, you can cut almost any length of barrel you want.

Stock barrels would probably be your best bet. Just remove the AR's.

Christine Everheart: You've been called the Da Vinci of our time. What do you say to that?

Tony Stark: Absolutely ridiculous. I don't paint.

That's another very good consideration, not much work involved. When you're using stock darts, may as well use the stock barrels! My suggestions were just for if you really wanted to rebarrel for some reason.

Use CPVC that's is drilled out with a 1/2" drill bit.

The yellow balls are also slightly smaller in diameter than the green ones.
