Ok kiddies, here goes.

I recently made myself a +bow. I currentlyy love it, we are best buds 4evar, and it might possibly be the culprit of a dent in my plaster drywall. But don't tell my parents that. I noticed that the biggest problem (Which, and I think you'll agree, is pretty small) wiht the +bow is the ROF. To remedy this, I invented the Zbreech. The Zbreech is compatible with ANY blaster that is 1/2" PVC couplered. It accepts standard NERF clips, you just have to remove this tab:

Sorry, I don't have a picture of the Zbreech on a gun for shits AND giggles!

How it works:
The actual breech part is very similar to an angel breech in reverse. Instead of the back part of the breech moving in the angel breech, the front part of the Zbreech is extended in order to load a dart. In Mk. 1, the breech does not allow for shotgunning darts because the 17/32 brass that makes up the interior barrel, is tight enough on my darts to disallow movement. I plan to make a version using PETG in the near future too....

This is a great breech I might even buy one but this thread is useless.

The actual breech part is very similar to an angel breech in reverse. Instead of the back part of the breech moving in the angel breech, the front part of the Zbreech is extended in order to load a dart.

You should explain it without using the word "reverse" angel breech. It is basically a breech similar to the angel breech but the barrel slides instead.

It doesn't seen to have the "breech cover" that seals the breech. Otherwise known as the 19/32" in an angel breech. Does the piece that pushes the dart into the barrel seal it? (For example, if you were using a 9/16" barrel a 17/32" seals the barrel.)

@LotusNerf- What do you mean no breech cover? It certainly does have one. The 9/16 brass tube that is pulled out to open the breech is the breech cover. In the first pic where the breech is closed (sealed) it is the 9/16 brass that you are looking at. Just like in an Angel breech, the follower in the nerf clip is what puches the dart into the 17/32 barrel.

@Hi Yah!- It goes (from left to right): 1/2" PVC, 3/4" PVC reducing coupler, 1" coupler, 1" PVC w/halfpipe cut out, 1" coupler, 3/4" PVC reducing coupler, 1/2" PVC.

@Koolaidjeff- maybe. I don't own a raider drum. It might and I'd guess that it woudl but before anything definite is said, i'm gonna have to try it. That may not be for a while...

I don't think you understand the angel breech. What you have here is a simple sliding breech with a pvc breech cover that can fit clips onto it. This will have the same issues that things like the angel breech were designed to solve. The primary problem is that when you close the breech, the 9/16" (in this case) will eat or clip the darts. Basically, the closing edge is sharp, and will take a chunk of foam out of either the loaded dart, or the next one in line, or both. And from there the darts won't fly straight, obviously.


It looks very pretty though, it's just nothing like an angel breech (which solves this problem by pushing the loaded dart forward into the barrel, so it never touches the larger brass closing the breech).

Split- I have mase several angel breeches and consider myself somewhat familiar with its workings. Yes, the Zbreech is a sliding breech, but it does not have the issues that you mentioned. The opening/closing action is exactly the same as an angel breech. The angle breech, or any other breech for that matter, could clip darts.. Shit happens and nothing is ever perfect. The Zbreech has not clipped/shaved a dart yet, even a crappy one. True, that angle breech does push the dart forward, but that doesn't prevent it from clipping darts. The angel breech is a bit less prone to shaving darts, but it still happens...

Then please elaborate how this is like the angel breech in any way, shape or form, aside from being made from brass. Also note that I never said the angel breech was perfect, as you try to refute in your post. There are in fact breeches that do not clip darts, such as Nerf's stock breeches, or ones made of thick plastic, and not sharp brass. They have other disadvantages, but to say that all breeches can clip darts is false. But again, just tell me how this is more like an angel breech, and less like a very basic, brass sliding over brass breech.

OK Split, I'm not gonna argue with you anymore. It really doesn't mean anything anyway. When I said it like an angel breech in reverse, I misspoke. It's a sliding breech that accpets clips. Which is exactly what an angel breech does. No it does not push the darts forward like the angel breech does, but in terms of clipping darts, they are virtually the same: they rarely do so.

Not saying all you guys have the same problem, but I just sanded down my brass so it did not chew up darts. And could we get some pics of all the brass tubings seprate? Like internal pictures of it?

Even more explanatory, I think, would be a simple (but good) drawing of the breech, with the various pieces of brass either labeled or color-coded, like this.

(That picture is not of this breech; it the one on my Longbow. I just used it as an example)
