Gotta drop out of this one last minute style as I've got family plans tonight which means no late night roadtrip.

ok this is a little late but i am comming but the bad part is i couldent find any felt stuff for the tips of my stefans so is it fine if i bring them this once?

EDIT: wait instead of felt can i cut off a little bit of the foam and put them on top of it like felt tips?

• I'm unusually tired and sore from this war. Those powerball-esque rounds wore me out.
• We had as many out-of-staters as locals. Minnesota wins the popularity contest.
• Dart standardization is awesome, as is the lack of horrible pain.
• HAMPs are the coolest thing ever. Screw Nerf, lets go HAMPING. On that note, I give up on modding forever.

All the objective based games worked out very well. The "fun factor" of Defend The Core has varied significantly whenever I've played it. I'm still trying to figure out what works and what doesn't for that gametype. The "Steal My Balls" game was great, and deserves some discussion and refinement.

Ryan, Kane, DemonLord, Shorts, Louie, Storm, glad you all could make the drive out, it's awesome Nerfing with all of you. Wing, glad you could finally come to one of our wars.

This was probably one of the best wars I've been to. Got rid of and traded most of what I wanted to, which was good. I'd like to thank everybody for making all the rounds fun and exciting enough that I forgot I only had 2 hours of sleep the night before (I didn't get started making darts until too late, but I got to watch these two movies while I slaved away)

The best part of the day was definitely getting to see the HAMPs in action though. It's the first homemade design that I actually want to try making, especially after I've seen it in action. When you're running from those giant hopper clips you really feel like you're being chased by guys with machine guns. Awesome.

Anyways, I had a great time, can't wait for the next one.

I'd like to start off by saying I'm sorry I broke your tornadobow Beaver.

+Capture the princess/Snowman
+It was great weather
+Got to nerf with my Brother
+No guns breaking (except Beavers)
+That capture the balls game. I think Ryan called it Testiculum or something like that.
+More HAMPs...
+Longshot surviving another war with no signs of breaking.
+Awesome dart retrieval rate

-Downtime between rounds
-Missing most of dart pick-up I could've left with more of my darts

Probably the most fun I've had since the ex-SOF war. Not as Effeminate, but definitely a good one.

Highlights

• Newell is the best park ever
• HAMPs are the future of Nerf
• My new MegaHAMP is awesome
• Good weather, no rain
• Lots of darts made + good recovery
• Seeing all my MN peeps
• Seize my balls was a great new game
• Longer rounds are better
• Team Deathmatch is stupid
• There were as many out of staters as MN guys
• I've been going to MN wars longer than anyone who was there including the MN guys

Seriously though, we need to have longer rounds. This will create less downtime and more nerfing. Games with infinite respawn also make gameplay fast-paced, where people aren't worried if they get hit. We should stop playing TDM. It's a terrible game type.

+Newall is a good park. Not the best ever, but for some reason Chicago wars always are at terrible locations. So it seemed awesome by comparison
+Fun with HAMPs, and plenty of ammo to start with.
+All slug darts, so I could scavenge ammo with impunity, and destroy people with my hoppered HAMP
+Ryan's new MegaHAMP IS awesome.
-My new MegaHAMP is mediocre.
+I loved "Carpe Testiculum" (get the name right!), but I might be biased because it was my idea
-Deathmatches really are terrible. If I wanted to sit around and wait for cowards, I'd be playing counterstrike.
+Lots of conferences
+Good weather
+Friend from college showed up in the afternoon, and blasted some fools with my HAMP.
-Demonlord/Shorts brought the Monolith, and we never set it up. Sorry guys!
-Never got anyone with the ball and chain

+ Carpe Testis is an awesome game type
+ Beautiful Snowman seize in the first round of Capture the Snowman
- 6 hour drive
+ Unique DtC round with the hill
+ Newell park is awesome
+ HAMPS are fun to use
- Still not my favorite to use currently
- Monolith not being used
+ Getting parts to finish the Monolith
+ Meeting a ton of cool people
+ Directing EVERYONE during team games

I can definitely say this was one of my favorite wars so far and will be attending more in the future.

THAT sir, is a lie. My Longstrike broke its model cement/hot glue/PVC bandage and is still fully dead.

Anyway, now that some time's passed and my legs are no longer sore, let's add my personal highlights.

+ First war. Whoo!
- Extremely sore lower body
- Lost about a full magazine's worth of Streamlines
- My Longstrike died...again
- Realizing that most of my equipment is substandard at best compared to that of just about everyone else there.
+ Getting another Maverick
+ Chasing down someone (sorry, I'm horrible with names) with my LS and fragging him, but not before barrel-tapping someone else. (again, sorry I forgot your name.)
+ Impressing Shorts with a Maverick storm during CTF
+ Seeing someone staring me down holding their melee weapon, dropping my gun, charging him, and getting the sword kill.
- Dart pickup. Dear sweet zombie Raptor Jesus but that was a pain
++ Being called "pro" during the TDM round as I stood on a 3-inch ledge on the info center wall, steadying myself by holding onto the corner of the building, and peeking out around said corner
++ Chasing yet ANOTHER fellow Nerfer (jeez, I really suck at this.),running out of ammo just as we passed the table where I'd left my equipment, dropping my current gun, spinning to dodge a shot from somebody else, grabbing my sword, continuing the chase, overbalancing myself, falling forward, rolling, taking a swing at my target's leg (don't remember if I actually got you or not), overbalancing because of the swing, and accidentally dodging yet another shot by doing a one-armed handstand to re-balance myself
+ Being called "ninja" immediately following the above event
- Failing to actually regain my balance with the handstand, falling on my rear, and getting fragged as a result
+ Dodging a rather high percentage of the shots taken at me
- Realizing during Carpe Testiculum that my Rapid-Fire, due to its high jam rate, kills my ammo
- Finding out that while having your gun get shot counts as a kill because with real guns it would be unusable, one can't get around this by carrying multiple weapons. That really doesn't make sense.

All in all, a good time.
