i'd really like to pick the best mod for my sm5k, i have the resources and experience for the most advanced mods ideas please. (my sm5k is currently modified with a aproximate 10" barrel with some electrical tabe around it which is stuck in a 1/2" PVC coupler with an 8" peice of PVC on the other end, works great! i mean like 120-130' but i was wondering if there was anything better?)

I don't understand your description of your mod.
You have a 10" barrel of an unknown material coupled to an 8" PVC barrel?
So it's an 18" overall barrel? Or does the dart start at the coupler?
As far as I am concerned, the best mod for the 5k is a tank relocation (this site) combined with a breech of some kind and a 14-16" brass barrel. You could either do 12" of the proper size followed by ~4" of the next size up, or get a 36" piece or couple two 12" pieces together with a 'coupler' made from brass the next size up.
There, that was confusing.

I think what he means is he did the tank relocation, put a 10' PVC barrel on then a coupler and a 8' barrel.

no, i have a 10" brass barrel that was put in (CW's method) and i wraped electrical tape around the end, shoved it into a 1/2 PVC coupler (outside the barrel)(i got a perfect fit, dont ask me how) and stuck on some PVC (like 8") as a removable loser/silencer/make the gun look cooler and longer thingy. i just recently put a nice .22 scope on my sm5k

So something like this:

Except it's real?
And it has a coupler where the barrel meets the gun body?

Breach-loading mechanisms (mainly with a bolt) are horrible. You almost never get an exact fit; the loose seal between the bolt and the opening also creates a leak, thus making your gun horrible.
