Does anyone have an idea of the relative strength of a Max Shot spring compared to a [k25] or [k26] spring? I was fiddling around with mine the other night, and a squeeze test seemed to suggest that the spring is weaker than either of them. I have a second Max Shot coming in the mail, so I had thoughts of supercharging it with a new spring (as if it needed supercharging).

It's weaker than the equivalent length of [k25], yeah.

Just keep in mind the MaxShot's tendency toward violent outbursts with the original spring...

I am cognizant of this issue, but feel reckless enough to ignore it.

I see something similar to what happened with your manta ray happening to this MaxShot..

Wear a paintball mask while taking a video of it firing. I want to see that thing go BOOM!

Don't worry so much about what other people will allow. Throw your own wars and kick your friends' asses until they all want one.
