The Event: Western North Carolina's first full-on Nerf event. Be there.
The Date:May 15th
The Hosts: Rork and Ben.
The Location: My first choice is probably going to be annoyingly crowded, so I've decided to go with my backup, which I can reserve, giving us access to bathrooms and such. The war will be held at Nantahala Rec Park. To find it, google map Appletree Campground Road, Nantahala, NC. The actual war site is just past the intersection on Junaluska Road. Photos will be up well before the war. For planning purposes, you'll be driving just past Andrews, NC.
The Rules: Wear eye protection. Don't be a douche. Take your hits, bring enough darts, pick up your darts, and bring actual guns. If you don't have appropriate weaponry, say so. I for one always have more guns than I use, and one of us will gladly hook you up with something. But trying to run a primaries round when your teammates are carrying weak weaponry is lame.
Make sure to bring some sort of real (NF) springer pistol. The only airgun allowed in pistol rounds, at all, is the SSPB. We WILL be doing pistol rounds. There's really not an excuse to show up with no pistol, and if you do, you'll be sitting out some fun, fun rounds.
Slug darts and single BB darts only. Light darts are our friends.
The Ban List: Plugged singled BBBBs (this includes pump replacements that do not use a full-diameter ball pump), plugged titans, and any hopper clips holding more than 4 rounds, because hopper clips are ridiculous. Any homemade airguns will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis--not that I expect anyone to bring one. Also, if you bring a modded RFSG, bring a backup. I may not be allowing more than one RFSG on any one team. And if you bring anything crazy, like a JOBAR or a converted water gun, I expect it to be used politely. Also, I reserve the right to remove any gun that I deem dangerous from play. We will be using melee weapons, at least for the goalies in Team Power Ball. They're for tapping, not clubbing.
DOUCHEBAGGERY: If anyone is causing a problem, regardless of what team they're on, come to me or Ben and we'll sort it out. Honestly, just don't be an ass. I have ZERO problem with asking anyone who violates this rule to leave.
Games: Deathmatch, FFA, Gunslinger, Defend the Core, and, for the first time down South, Team Power Ball.
I'm not even bothering with a "maybe" list this time around. Attendance thus far: 20-25-ish
