Bow n' Arrows are pretty cool blasters, with a fair amount of potential. This mod shows a simple way of modding one nicely, which can easily result in primary-like ranges. This mod is basically taking a not so good gun and turing it into something respectable in under 1 hour. I will never use this in a war,and ranges will be better with a new spring and bungies, but whatever. Lots of clear pictures.
Video at the end of the second post.
First, the gun:

^^That is just the shell.

Take out the plunger tube, and cut off the stock barrel flush with the tube:

Dremel out the Plunger tube until a PVC coupler fits in it snugly. I dremeled bit too much:

Posted Image

I had to wrap the coupler in electrical tape for it to fit:

Cut your coupler in half, to eliminate some deadspace:

The coupler, snug in the plunger tube:

Now, put a light layer of super glue on the connection. This is just to hold it in nicely, and we will do more for sealing the connection later.

Glued in:

While your super glue is drying, let's see what we can do with the plunger system. Take it out:

Here is the skirt head. Easy to pry off, but we do not need to.

Cut off the tip of a 3B arrow.

Dab some Hot Glue on your plunger head:

Now, our super glue should be dry enough to apply some more glues. I used my Hot glue, and slowly went around the connection, making it clean, but airtight as well.

DO NOT POST. PICTURE LIMIT.

Once that dries, we should really seal it up with some goop

The stock plunger seal is crap, so test fit a few wraps of electrical tape around the plunger head until it improves.

Then, lube that shit up hard. No pics.

Place everything back in the shell:

I decided to LIGHTLY glue in the plunger tube, because it spins around in the shell, which will be annoying when switching barrels.

Close her up.

I like how clean it looks.

Finished, with a 9 inch PETG Barrel.

Watch it shoot.

Looks like a very simple, yet effective mod. Nice and clean too.
Do you have any other plans for it? What kinda spring would you add for such a huge plunger tube?0

I also have a non-mod-related Bow n Arrow related question that i've been wanting to ask since i saw the BnA in the internals directory, but didn't want to necro any posts: There is no catch/trigger mechanism for this gun correct? You just pull it back and let it fly? Is this tricky to use?

I sort of tested it on my NF by depressing the trigger and trying to just pull it back and let go, but my release is always too awkward and slows the plunger down a great deal.

Sorry for the slightly off topic question. Nice mod. Breech it and clip it!

Thanks for the compliments. Yes, you pull it back to it's full draw, then let go, like a real Bow n' Arrow.

Yeah, I've used a Bow 'N Arrow at a few wars before, and trust me, these are definitely not the easiest things in the world to shoot at people with. Because of the force of the plunger being released and the resulting recoil, your aim tends to get knocked off course pretty easily. Still though, getting a kill with it is a damn good feeling.
