That's actually really interesting. I hope we'll see some different stuff in the future. In agreement with dizzyduck, I highly suggest that everyone take a few minutes to read this article.
While I certainly don't acknowledge the continuation of this argument, I felt that everyone involved should be aware of preceding events.
It seems weird though, how he said that pressurized air blasters didn't have as much modding potential.

yes same plunger as the recon
no the stock is not removable
the range is same as the LS
I dunno how comfortable it is but id base that on the stock size, not up and down, left to right
one clip in the breech, two in the stock
go to SG Nerf blog spot and the mod work...search Google, a few
people have a problem thinking of Google for searching for stuff like this

That article was imported from NerfOnline, which means it's more than 8 years old. I haven't suffered the embarrassment of reading it in a while, and I don't think I will now, but I'm pretty sure every prediction I made was dead wrong. Hasbro was in the middle of recycling it's larami molds under the nerf line, and the powerclip and wildfire were all the craze. Shit, I thought snap bracelest would never go out of style.

First one must find a spring in similar diameter to this spring but longer (able to reach to the back of the gun)
Alternatively, the stock spring could be really stretched.
Then just remove the spring rest and replace the spring. This would give a good inch or two more space for the spring to rest in and compress.
Is this possible? I would try it best down here in Australia, we won't be getting this gun for another good 6 months.

Just take another Recon/Raider/Longstrike spring and lace the stock and addition springs together.
Works like a charm.
