I'm assuming you're somewhere near Shaw reservoir which appears to be about 1:40 drive from my house. If your parents are okay with it, this sounds very promising.

secondly: does anyone want to want to war sunday april 18th? i know c has a bbq and spoon isn't on this planet any longer, but hell, i want to nerf. preferably not in oceanside, but if that's where it'll happen then that's that. if we can't go to venado, we'll have up near my house for all i care. anyway, if anyone is available lets try to figure this out at least a week in advance.
we usually have a war in the summer called Armageddon, Vacc and Co. have come out in the past for that war, Groove was there last time. hopefully it'll be while your down here, just make sure you speak up in the planning thread for that.Hey I know this is a bit off topic but I'm going to California to see some old friends around June in the Summer. Any chance you usually have a war around that time and if so what city. If you were having on (and if it was ok with you guys) I might just come to one and hang around.

I"m up for it, why not good old Venado? (I was't there when you guys got yelled at) its a public area and you guys got permission to have nerf wars there right? plus regulars know where it is.secondly: does anyone want to want to war sunday april 18th? i know c has a bbq and spoon isn't on this planet any longer, but hell, i want to nerf. preferably not in oceanside, but if that's where it'll happen then that's that. if we can't go to venado, we'll have up near my house for all i care. anyway, if anyone is available lets try to figure this out at least a week in advance.

The Alamo and the CTF grass area are both still decent and we haven't had any problems with them. Mainly, I think people are just a little tired of Venado. The dick teacher taking away the best area just gave us an excuse to change things up.
Toj, I want to make sure that your parents are cool with us coming over May 15 and find out if they're comfortable with you posting your address here. If not, you can PM it to me and I'll distribute it to everyone who says they're coming. that BBQ sounds rawkin, let me know what's up with that because I'd be happy to pitch in for a share of the grub.

ShatteredDreams, where exactly is your house? Address so we can mapquest it, please?
I'd be intereseted in how far away it is, as my dad was about at his driving limit to go to Venado from West L.A.

As to the time, I'd say the normal Yano time would be fine I guess, then the BBQ would be at either 12 A.M., or 3 P.M., so that you guys could have a nice lunch or a lunchy/dinner thing.
I hope you guys have fun at the war this sunday though, make sure its a good one!
*edit*
Oh, and I'll go get the pictures now, Cx, if I e-mailed them to you, would you post them? As I am HTML illiterate.
*edit 2*
I think I'll just led Cx distribute the address, as people may send pr0n to my house to get me in trouble...

Perhaps we should plan the June (Armageddon) war for Toj's house?

okay, next sunday, the 18th, i am going to have a nerf war. any and all of you are invited, please email me soon (let's say by mondayish) and i'll give you the address. my house is in altadena, about 10-15 minutes north of the 210/134 intersection. about 15 minutes north/east from the Pasadena Rose Bowl, if that helps at all in judging distance. if your interested, also let me know what time frame you'd want to nerf...if you want to go from 9-5 i can deal with that, i don't mind nerfing for just part of the day either. depending on people/preferences we can war around my house, my neighbors house (need to check that for sure), and there's also a grove of olive trees in the foothills of the mountains (like a 5 minute walk from my house) we like to nerf in (dart loss will be pretty high) and there's a park a block away from my house (which i'd prefer to stay away from for PR reasons, but it's an option). there's a jack in the box, a quiznos, a local burger place, and a local sandwich place all about 5 minutes drive from my house, and i can give at least a few people rides down. right now i'm gunna have about 4-5 people there, my neighbors/siblings/friends, and i'd love it if some of you guys can show.

5/15 is fine for me, and so far 5/8 and 5/22 would be ok also but those weekends may fill up as we get closer to them. I'm cool driving down to Oceanside, I'll ask my people here if they could do a 5/15 war. My guess is that I'd be bringing 2 others.
As for your war this Sunday the 18th Ray, Matt Kashuba said he'd come and I think I can make it. However I wouldn't be able to stay all day, I'd probably have to leave around 3 or 4pm as I'm going to have a shitload of work to do that day. I'll ask if Jason and Jordan (and anybody else) would be able to make it, but don't get your hopes up.
I've got plenty of extra guns but I have almost NO ammo, like 50 darts. I've got supplies to make maybe another 50 darts or so, but if your ammo works in our brass and PETG guns we may need to gank some off of you. Hmm, though I guess with 6 or so people that would be plenty.
So in short, May is open right now but that may change. I can reserve 5/15 for the war though if that's the date it'll happen. As of now I'm 75% sure about next Sunday (18th) with Kashuba at Ray's house.

I'll see if I can save enough money to come out to a LANO/YANO this summer, though. Doesn't look like I'll be doing much more than working and taking a language course this summer anyways: Perfect time for a vacation.
Otherwise, good luck with planning a May war! ...Aside from the fact that this is the April war planning thread...

okay, well, i'll make sure i make as many as possible this week. from what i remember, i think my darts are just a little bit bigger than yours, but they work fine in PETG, fit snug in 17/32", and slide nicely in 9/16".I've got supplies to make maybe another 50 darts or so, but if your ammo works in our brass and PETG guns we may need to gank some off of you.
well then, i guess we'll just have to have a night war. i think the 10th would be the only night i could do it, because i have a 10th grade retreat thing the 11th and 12th. but eh, even the 10th might not be a possibility. sorry, just a whim. if i could come, i could start driving between 2:30 and 3:00, and i probably will have to be home before 11 (maybe earlier if i haven't done my work). if we are going to have a night war, lets try to make it indoors. anyone got a huge house?I understand that many of those that attend these wars are in high school, making a weekday war otherwise impossible
okay, anyone coming to RayNO, please try to get to my house (i'll email you directions if you need them) around 10AM on the 18th. we want to start nerfing around 10:15. i think basically what will happen is we will just nerf at my house until anyone who's late shows up, and then we'll head over to the olive tree grove. bring anything that you would bring to a YANO, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. and also you might want to bring some bottled water, i'll try to have a bunch available the day of the war. Oh, if anyone has flagging tape already (spoon?) could you please let me know, if no one does i'll buy some this week. we're going to play by the same rules we play at YANOs, unless it is more fun to do otherwise.
questions, etc: rweitekamp@earthlink.net
so far people coming to RayNO:
Me, my brother, Iceman17, 1 or 2 of my other friends, Ice Nine and Bobert (maybe), Silent_Merc, Spoon and Matt (75%). i think we'll have a rocking time.

I have about 140ish darts, but a lot of them are insanely tough to get into PETG and you have to really cram to get them into 17/32".
Okay, I dunno about Bobert, but for my deadline, friends are coming out in spades. My chances of coming are pretty good. I'll probably have to grovel some, but the chances are pretty good.
Oh, and no RF20. That thing just refuses to work.
If anyone wants, I'll try and bring my camera.

feel free to bring your camera. i'm going to try to get my friend to film/nerf, if he does we're going to make a movie, hopefully to that dynamite hack song "boys-n-the-hood", i just can't get over how funny that could be.If anyone wants, I'll try and bring my camera.
okay, so is the may war completely off?Alright, let's halt the May war sub-thread we've got running here.

That would be my preference. I don't think people are going to be able to manage monthly wars and I'd like to see a big turnout for Armageddon in June. That said, I don't own the SoCal nerf scene and perhaps it's time for me to step down from my self-proclaimed organizer role. I haven't been very good at pulling the community together.okay, so is the may war completely off?

sounds fine with me, i was just looking forward to giving Zero a big hug, but now that he's a going to be dancing the night away, that wouldn't have happened anyway. um...if a bunch of people are dying to nerf in may i'm up for it, but let's definately try to pull of a 2002 style armageddon, 45+, hehe. That would be my preference. As for June, yea I agree it would be better to wait. Steph gets back (I believe) like June 16, so if we could do it in late June that would be best since I'll be losing Matt and Jason since they'll be home for the summer.

The latter are kinda bad, but the former sucks the big one.
Sorry guys, my "crew's" out until Armageddon.

For my 8th. grade year, all English classes have to do a project called an I-Search, on a subject you care deeply about. I chose airplanes, since I couldn't find any full-length, non-fiction books on it. It's year-long, but I'm in the equvilent of A.P. classes, so ours is due on April 23. So far, mine is 54 pages and I still need to do a lot (i.e. creative sources, an interview to be put in, note cards, and then organizing everything.). So I'm cramming to finish, and my county science fair project isn't helping, since my partner refuses to do any fucking thing.
That's what the deadline is.
