I think anyone with a brain that knows how to read will be able to get the joke. He is asked if he is the purple shirted eye stabber, he says no, but ends up stabbing the guy's eye out.I really don't think that anyone who hasn't read the comic frequently is going to get the joke.

I read cyanide & happiness a fair amount. I find it funny. I find this comic funny also.
you need a certain sense of humor to enjoy this comic, and it usually goes hand in hand with a /b/tard.
Everyone has their own tastes in humor and webcomics. They are not trying to pitch to the same audience, so saying one webcomic is better than another is moot.
