The title pretty much explains it, what do you play your mp3s on other than computer, if you do. I just go an mp3 CD player <_<, so I play them on that and my surround system.-Gamefreak.

mp3 cd players are the way to go, man. You get plenty of storage on one CD, plus you can expad your storage for really cheap, as opposed to buying super-expensive flash memory devices. The players themselves are a lot cheaper too, I got mine for 40 bucks!

Mp3 cd players are the best, they're way cheaper than an Ipod or other similar device. I got mine of $30 with a car kit. I also play them on winamp alot.

iPod all the way. Small, fast, clear, spacious... I like it. If not, I just use my computer. Speaking of which... try MusicMatch Jukebox, taita. It's superior to Windows Media Player, WinAmp, RealOne, all of that crap. MMJB is my choice.

Yeah, MusicMatch is the way to go.

I currently only play them on my computer, but soon I'm going to be upgrading my car stereo system, at which point, I will kick all your asses in the sound quality department. Check this planned setup out:

Rockford Fosgate Fanatic X 6.5' component speakers up front
Rockford Fosgate High Performance Coaxial 6.5' speakers in back
Alpine CDA9827 CD/MP3/WMA Player in Dash
Alpine 6 MP3/CD Changer (hopefully)

I love the iPod. I'm an Apple freak.

I haven't even come close to filling it up. And I only have the new style 10 gig.

Same here. I've had my ten for over a year and it's only half full. I know the pods are a little pricy, but having your whole collection of music and more space as you buy/download more music on a small device is pretty nifty. And I love iTunnes.

Lick my bizzalls. Me and my brother hook up car audio systems all the time. In my brother's jeep

Alpine CDA9827 CD/MP3/WMA
6 polk 8 inch speakers in front
8 polk 8 inch speakers in back (in custom fiberglass)
4 Audiobahn 12 in subs
all powered by 4 alpine amps and 4 thunder cap capacitors.
In my room I have a headunit conversion kit witha head unit in the back board of my bed. Tis sweet with the surround sound.

And, your gonna need some subs and some amps if you plan on having that work/ sound good. Nice choice on the head unit though. Tis the same one I have in my room/bro's car.

I was thinking of getting a set of 3 Alpine 12' subs in a custom fiberglass box with mirrors and all that cool looking shit, but the amp required would have set me back at least a good $500. The subs had a recommended RMS output of 600 watts.

That's a nice setup, but where's your mid/high range going to come from? You need some tweeters if you want the full audio range, I can't see 8' speakers reaching into the 10k-20k frequencies.

What wattage do you get from your amps, and how many channels? And how much did they cost?

The internal amp on the Alpine is good as a placeholder for a real amp, but if I really want to take advantage of the speakers I need to get a multi-channel for them and a single channel amp for a sub setup.

Oh, well the jeeps stock system came with tweeters so it sound real nice. We get stuff discounted from the local rice rocket store because my brother hooks up audio systems so I'd have to check on the base price.

I got infinity 6800cs's up in front, 2 infinity Triaxials in the back, 2 infinity tweeters pointed up at you down by your shins, a Pioneer mp3 player head unit, and a 12" sub Infinity with it's own amp in the trunk. Sounds like a beast on the inside, especially with techno pumping. If I didn't have a convertible, I'd put more money into it, but right now I'm scared the top is gonna get cut if I keep this up. My triaxials alone can produce a bigger bass hit than most ricers can with their whole lowrange system

Anyway, thats where I listen to my mp3's, its cool cuz I can fit up to around 130 songs on a CD, never get tired of driving.

Eh, you guys are depressing me.

I used to have a pair of 12s in a box behind the back seat of my '70 beetle and a 2x200 amp under the hood (the engine's in back). Sadly, the cops stole it. Fuckers. These days I listen to the stock radio in my Odyssey...

But with regards to the actual question posed, I only listen to mp3z on my computer. One of these days I'll get one of those cool component audio network streaming mp3 player dealies for my living room stereo system. Be nice to leave my 36Gb of songs on my hard drive and just play them across the network cause that's a lot of CDs

I just got an IPAQ 4150 for my birthday. It's pretty cool. I am going to use it mostly for school but I also store some of my mp3s on it. I plan to buy a 512 mb SD card to store more. I was thinking of getting to 1 GB but it is expensive and I dont want to take the risk of losing it. I can see myself leaving something so small in my pocket and it going through the wash. Another cool feature is that I can store movies files from my computer and watch them on the IPAQ. I plan to put a few Simpsons episodes to watch. I found this software for PPCs that is called the PPOD. Don't know if any of you have heard of it but its a replica of the IPOD except formatted to be used on your IPAQ, its really neat. Anyone else here have a Pocket PC or Palm?

Oh man iPod all the way. Only apple product I'll probably ever own, but man is it cool. Good storage and such, only problem is the 8-hour battery life, but they sell external batteries that increase your battery life using AA batteries, at the expense of the iPod's portability.

I just added a pair of RCA 900Mhz wireless headphones to my computer. Now I can listen to mp3z anywhere in the house. The fidelity isn't all that amazing, but the price ($40) is tough to beat.

- .mp3's play on the computer through Winamp 5
- audio out to my 280W stereo
- single dorm room walls flex from the SPL
- RA comes down
- tells me she likes the music, but I'll have to turn it down if anyone actually complains
