[Nerf Bros]

Count us out, we're out of town also on the 2nd, but we really want to be there, so let's consider a war on the 13th of February (Love Battle 2010?), we should be available, and if Beavers back we could rent the pavilion at Newell and be warm. Also, if people are interested, I'd be willing to coordinate a Mexican potluck/feast thing for lunch if people were interested, the indoor location would allow the outlets to keep food warm and eat it in comfort. It also would be an easier chance for the Chicago guys to come, because I'm sure they and all of us are going to be near passing out from exhaustion after New Years.

What's your point? You can re-use those darts after you shoot them.

Yea, I can reuse them, assuming I can find them buried underneath the snow, and assuming I can get to them... few games involve the teams switching sides just three darts in.

We'll see what happens.

What's the attendance count? It may be just me, but people seem to be dropping like flies...

I'm afraid I may have to call it off. There is not enough confirmed attendance. Almost everyone is a maybe except myself, Velveeta........and I can't think of anyone else. Would it help if we moved it to January 16th?

I head back to school on the 14th, but (despite my position as Supreme Ruler of the Universe) I don't expect you guys to let one person's not coming deter you from changing the date.

Well im not sure if this helps anything but i would like to join a nerf war for the first time. me and my friends always got them going in little bursts but a real one would be nice...

the only problem is the drive depending on where its at and i would perfer to be inside where its warm...

Hey, I hate to do this, but is it cool with everyone if we start it around more like 11? Because of shitty planning I have to work in the morning, so I'm probably going to still be a bit late even if we start at 11, but I was lucky that I even get to leave that early. Besides, it will be warmer outside by then, and you'll get more sleep. either way, I'll be late, so Beaver and/or Julian, you guys are in charge until I'm there.

Derek, you better be there! You're the only one who will have a car as far as I know. Beaver says he may show up in the afternoon but can't promise anything.

I'm wondering if anyone is up for a gametype I thougt of that is pretty much like berzerker, but you can stun the berzerker/disable them in some way by shooting them with a tag dart. I've thought perhaps the berzerker must wear a tag vest (so the dart must stick to the vest in order for the hit to count) and/or you can oly use single shot pistols to shoot the berzerker. The number of tag darts you are alowd to carry will probably be limited as well.

Yep, I'll be there. Most likely I can get my parents van too, so no need to worry about space. Just finished a batch of darts and can't wait to shoot some people in about 12 hours.

It's not actually super cold... If anyone could bring an extra 4" CPVC speedloader or two for the pistol rounds that would be much appreciated. I would give you a hug.

Recap time. Honestly, even though we hardly even nerfed, I still had fun just hanging out. I know multiple things went wrong, but it was still a good time. The only real minus in my mind is Kip showing up when we were at the other park. I felt really bad about it, but I think you took it pretty well Kip. Hopefully we'll plan better for next time, and Beaver will answer his phone.

The actual nerfing was pretty much just standing around and taking potshots at it's core. I could care less. My jobar was shooting like ass (probably a dart/barrel problem). At that odd little park, the nerfing was pretty retarded, but amusing in a strange way. We really should have just stayed at Newell the whole time and moved somewhere else, away from the Geocachers. Another highlight, just by coincidence, two Internet Organizations show up at the same location, at the same time for outdoor events. Nobody really had darts either, which I expected. This thread had hardly any activity. I had a fun day, but not because of nerfing. But is that really what matters? We could show up and LARP (or NARP), and I'd still be happy if we all had fun. That makes me think.....maybe we should get some more hand to hand, or otherwise close quarters combat going on.....but I'll think about that one some more. Actually getting a creepy button camera was pretty awesome. I have some....ideas for that. Scott coming over afterwards was fun as hell too. I am satisfied.
